I bought a size 18, and I usually wear a size 18. It keeps everything where it is supposed to be, it dries fast after getting it wet, and the Lycra is very soft

Thinnish material

From the looks of the picture I expected the material to be thicker. The color and design are pretty. I usually wear a size 20-22. I ordered the 24 thinking it would fit since Speedos run small. No such luck.

Swim coach approved for fun in the sun . . . with flattery!

Fair disclosure -- I am a swim coach and mother to 4 girls on a competitive swim team that is sponsored by Speedo. This in no way affects my opinion of this suit. I am 5'11" and 200 lbs. I normally wear a size 16 in swim suits and I received this in a size 16. As far as the design goes, I really like the suit. I didn't think I would like the hole below the knot and almost passed based on that, I am so glad I didn't! It is actually subtle and quite flattering. There is a lot to like about this suit. The hips fit nicely, the leg holes are comfortable and not lose or tight, the back does not gap out and the fabric has a soft ridging that is subtle but flattering. The problem is that I have a long torso, and this (like most speedo suits) doesn't really accommodate my length. Normally I would adjust the straps but this doesn't have adjustable straps. The result is that the bottom of the bust sits about an inch too high -- up on the girls. Not flattering. But I can overlook that with how much I like the rest of the suit, and the long torso is a problem I have with most suits. As far as construction, you are getting the fabulous speedo quality. I was unable to find any manufacturing flaws. The suit is fully lined inside and not at all see through when wet. The cup pads are sewn in place so there is no shifting or moving, which is a pet peeve of mine, and the cups themselves are sewn down so they don't flip up. The color is slimming black. There is a speedo logo in a grey stitch on the left front but it is subtle and doesn't detract from the suit. The suit has a spf of 50 to help protect from the sun. The suit is supposed to have shaping support but I didn't feel any. It seems slightly tight, but again, most speedos do on me. Made in Sri Lanka. Shell 81% polyester, 19% elastane. Lining 100% polyester. Mesh 68% nylon, 32% elastane. Hand wash, do not wring, dry flat. The written direction says to wash with like colors. Personally I rarely to never wash a suit, just rinse in cool water, soak in cold water for 20ish minutes, and then dry flat.

Speedo lives up to it's brands reputation with this suit

Easy 5 stars. You get what you pay for. Total stand out quality - this suit will last for years. The suit is made from thick (for a swimsuit), very durable materials. Speaking plainly as a plus size person - Plus size bodies will be pulling and tugging on suits to get them on and off. This suit will last and is tear resistant. Straps are thick and durable. Material fits very well and holds everything in the right place. It has a TON of support so you can feel confident and comfortable playing in heavy waves at the beach, or kayaking (like I do), or just doing laps in the pool. Everything you want to be covered, is covered, but it also looks really nice. > Keywords to describe the suit - 1. durable 2. supportive 3. great coverage. I would totally recommend this to anyone plus size as their go-to suit. You can play hard in this without worrying at all, or just chill and you will look great and feel confident. I have other suits, but your constantly worried about one thing or the other sometimes with lower quality suits. You just dont worry about anything in this one, everything fits well. I love it.

Great swimsuit I lap swim every other day with it

It’s comfortable while I do my laps, has held up great to the chlorine, easy to take on & off. I’m 6’ tall a slender torso, proportional, heavier set & a size 24 is what I ordered. I sized myself by the directions & most one pieces are tough because I have a long torso. I found I had a little extra room in the bottom, but not enough to bother me swimming. I ordered a xxl or a 22 next time & it fits perfect as it states. It doesn’t rub against the skin in certain areas & the inside material is also comfortable. I have fibromyalgia (among other things) but my nerves make me very touch sensitive. So the way clothes feel against my skin are really important to me & especially after they’re wet needing to come off.
