Much smaller than we expected

High quality and well built but more suited to small homes with limited recycle, compost, trash needs. With a family of 4 and 2 pets we were having to empty twice per day. Very good product though, just wish it was about 75% bigger.

Finally! A good looking trash can!

We divide our trash into paper, plastic & glass, and waste. I only put a bag in the waste compartment. It's super easy to spray out the recycle bins if they get messy. A normal bag did not fit well, and will bunch up around the edges of the can lid, and around closing mechanism, but an easy and effective hack was to use a big rubber band lower down the tapered side of the can. It's perfect and so much cheaper than buying the bags that are made for this can. I am very happy with my purchase. Everyone should have a grown up trash can!

Very convenient and easy to use!

I really like the ease of use and having 3 cans together in one sleek design doesn't clutter my kitchen. It matches my kitchen appliances and doesn't take up as much room as I thought it would. The doors open easily and close quietly unlike many step cans that slam shut. So far so good!

Songmics x3 4.8 Gallon Trash/Recycling Bin

Love it! Love it! Love it! Not only is this 3 compartment trash bin functional and stylish, it's a perfect fit for my space. I read other reviews whose only complaints were not finding trash bags that would fit, causing the lids not to close properly because the bags bulked up. I purchased the Songmics 8 Gal. bags, Liner code 30A, and they fit perfectly, as you can see in my posted pics. The trick is twisting the tops of the bags tightly around the tops of the bins, then tucking the excess underneath the bag.

Look great but not super easy to get bag out of

I use this as a combination of recycling collection and trash in my kitchen. I love the way these look in my kitchen. The love/dislike of this item is the handle on the removable plastic inner bins. I like the handle as it allows me to easily take my unbagged recyclables right to the recycling center or easily dump them into a bigger bin in the garage. I dislike the handle because it gets in the way when traying to remove my bagged trash. I have to pull out the inner bin, anchor it between my feet and shimmy the trash bag out, occasionally moving the handle around sections of trash. The overall product is sturdy and solid, it feels like its made of good quality materials. It is also easy to clean.

Trash bag capacity.

Make sure to double check the trash bags you would purchase, for example: I use glade, and a 4gal would be too small for this trash cans that claim to be 4.8gal instead I bought a 13gal and fits perfectly. Aside of that, I love my trash can so far.

Perfect fit but arrived with huge dent in side.

I've been looking for a trash can that could be for trash, recycle and bottle return. I found this one, measured and bought. It fits perfect, although a little smaller buckets than I pictured. I was disappointed and rated lower because it arrived damaged. I don't recall being informed there was damage, but probably could assumed as it was much cheaper. I would recommend adding a picture of the damage so the consumer is not shocked but aware when it arrives.

Trash bags will be visible

I bought this product to sort my trash and recycling when I moved into a small condo. It is a beautiful trash can with a low profile. I love the handles for each bucket. The two things I wish were a little different are the lids and room for liners. The lids are extremely lightweight and won't shut all the way if there is even a paper towel above the lid line. If you use a trash liner there is not sufficient space around the bucket and the liner will stick out around the edges and also keep the lid from closing completely. . It isn't perfect but it meets my needs and looks much better than a cheap plastic one.

Too expensive for what you get

If I knew I will end up with a trash bin full of scratches and the lids don't even close properly. I would have never spent $200 on this. I don't recommend this product.

Looks good and does it's job

LIKE: Unit looks good, pedal to open lid works fine, lid opens and closes well (soft automatic close), easy to take out individual bins for emptying. DISLIKE: The front metal part of bin is detaching at the top centre from the unit after only 3 weeks of normal use (please see attached photos, photo showing my fingers is me slightly pushing piece to show the area). I hope it doesn't start to detach in other places. I will use epoxy to attach this piece back on but the manufacture should improve this portion of the unit for future customers.

Compartments are small. Easy to clean. Looks nice.

The compartments are small than I expected. It doesn’t make noise when you open it unlike other garbage bins. It is also easy to clean. The sturdiness is good, it’s just that it makes noise when you press the body of the bin. But overall this is beautiful garbage bin. It’s just a bit pricey .

I like the look of it. It serves its purpose but I do find the cans inside are very small. Yes, I can buy smaller bags but it doesn't matter as the bags once full would have to be stored elsewhere until garbage or recycle pick up day. I like and am keeping it. Just wish the cans were larger.

Over priced!

About two weeks after purchasing, the mechanism that allows the lid to go up and down on the left side fell off. For the price I expected it to be sturdy. No unnecessary force was used to warrant the condition it’s in now. All 3 lids stopped working. Not worth the price.
