Comfortable and dressy

I needed a pair of boots to wear with a suit. I have flat wide feet and cannot wear narrow shoes, I normally go for squared toe if I can. These came in wide so I figured I would try since the heel was low enough. First time I put them on with a pair of socks I felt a possible rub spot on the pinky toe area but I have to wear them for longer to see for sure. They are comfortable to walk in and the zipper openings are convenient to get in and out of. I like them so far.

Stylish and comfortable ankle boot - my new go-to!

STYLE - 5/5 I've been on the hunt for a while for a stylish bootie with a low heel, so I'm really happy I found the Rocklin because it's cute and comes in a wide (and double wide!) fit. It's almost an exact replica of the Sam Edelman Petty (which I got to compare), just with a slightly shorter heel. I got the Dark Brown Crocodile which is perfect. The brown is pretty dark, so it looks great against all colors including black. I also love the croc design towards the back; it breaks up the design and adds a stylish element. Oh, and it's a leather upper, despite the description saying this color is polyester. COMFORT - 4/5 Love the padding at the foot bed, it really makes the shoe comfortable to walk in. Compared to the Petty, the Rocklin is overall a softer and roomier boot (quieter, too). As you can see in my photo, the Rocklin has a taller toe box area. But the Petty's sole seemed to be made from a sturdier material. I'll agree with others who say that the top of the boot cuts into the front of the ankle at a weird spot. So far, I've only worn these boots with socks and pants so I forget about it, but I imagine it might be painful/annoying if it were touching my ankle directly. I think it should soften up with increased wear. FIT - 4/5 I'm typically an 8.5 in shoes, and a 9 in boots. I have bunions that make regular/narrow shoes uncomfortable, so I started with the 9W. When I received it, I was a bit puzzled because it looked kind of narrow... But I saw reviews that said the W version wasn't actually wider than the regular version, it just had more fabric up top. So I ordered the 2W and crossed my fingers that it would be better. And it was! As you can see in my photos, the 2W is wider. I've had boots that become uncomfortable as the day goes on and my feet swell a bit, but the 2W was able to accommodate and I was comfortable all day. I will say that the fit from heel to toe is a little roomy as I can slide my feet back and forth just a little, and can wiggle my toes up and down. I don't mind, though, and with thick socks it becomes just right. Glad I found my new favorite boots :)

Most comfortable boots ever!

First, let me explain why I've given only four stars to the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. If I had ordered black or dark brown, I would have indicated five stars. However, I ordered the gray (graphite) and did not realize that the bottom edges, soles and heels are covered with some sort of white powdery paint dust. Now that I look at the picture carefully, after having seen the shoes, I can see the powder, which I didn't see before because the whiteness can easily be mistaken for glare and because the photo is pretty washed out. The gray color is actually darker and much richer, which (to me) makes the powder look even more ridiculous. Because I like the style, the quality of the suede leather and the gray shade so much, I took a chance to try to wash the powder off. Fortunately, it worked with a toothbrush and water and a knife to scrape the heels in a few spots, then a little brown craft paint to restore the brown to the heel and sole. The fact that I went to this much trouble is the best indication I can offer of how comfortable these boots are. After years of abusing my feet in B width shoes (which for the longest time was all that was available), I have real problems with shoes that don't provide ample room in the toe box. These boots (in the wide width) give my toes room to move around. And the padding...how fabulous. I had come to the conclusion a while back, after having tried on literally dozens of boots, that non-hiking boots were supposed to be handsome but hard as rocks. I have only found a few that had padding, mostly with those bendable rubbery soles. These are the first I have found that have soles with a leather look, that also have great padding and great arch support. I highly recommend them. Just note that all the colors other than black or dark brown have the powdery dust/paint applied around the bottom. If you like that look, great; but know that if you really like the style/color/comfort otherwise, the whiteness can be removed without damaging the shoes.

WAY TOO NARROW

I bought these in a wide size, they were so narrow I couldn't get my foot into it at all!

Wide was too narrow

I bought a 10.5 W and it was still too narrow for me, and while I have wide feet they aren't extraordinarily wide, so this was unexpected. Will be returning

Love these boots

Love these boots. I don't wear them every day as we have way too much snow and these are definitely not snow boots. Very comfortable ...

Fake wood heels peel off in damp weather!!!!

These boots look great out of the package- the leather is beautiful and they are the only nice Chelsea boots I could find in wide. I was happy to pay the price for them, and in fact got another pair of Softwalk boots as well at the same time, which have fared much better than these ones. I got them for Christmas and the FIRST DAY I WORE THEM, parts of the heels began to peel off- there are paper stickers on the rubber heels to make them appear like wood. It was not even raining- the streets were damp from rain that night. The stickers were dangling from the heels so I ended peeling them off and now the heels are just the plain rubber. Very disappointing for what is otherwise a lovely pair of boots.
