The assembly was pretty straightforward. One of the back wood slats came with a loose wood screw, seems to be stripped. Otherwise, sturdy and comfortable.

Very comfortable! Very sturdy and easy to assemble.
I love my new chair!! This chair is beautiful in my backyard AND it's comfortable to sit in. I love the smell of the cedar wood - it's light yet made very strong and sturdy. It was easy to put together. I'm giving this purchase a 5 star review because of the quality, price and delivery time!

Warning
This chair may or may not actually be yellow cedar but is certainly made in China so doubtful. To compound my woes I took a bit of a flyer and bought a used one that claimed the packaging was damaged but chair was fine. Woops--the most important piece was cracked and wood glued even though the next screw thru would surely pop it back open. Would not buy again or even a new chair for $40. Spend the money and get something better. I'll do my best to MacGyver this puppy together and reinforce it with my own wood.

nice chairs
I bought 2 of these chairs and am very happy. they were pretty easy to put together, and the main seat/back came assembled. My husband said the color looks "bunt" which might be true. they are comfortable and look really nice in the yard.

Worst of all
The wood is lightweight but clear and straight. Assembly is straightforward if you are not afraid of tools but many of the predrilled holes are too big and the bolts make a sloppy fit. Also, one of my chairs came with some Left and Right parts mislabeled. Worst of all, both chairs had a pair of holes, one on either side of the bottom brace, that were off by an inch. I am not confident that there are sufficient wood to tolerate the second holes I need to drill. Time will tell. Meantime, Shine products are off my list.
