Cheap But Nice Enough - Many Reviewers Are Wrong
As mentioned elsewhere, these are mid-quality cheap items. But they're nice enough to fit in my nice hallway, if you know how to get them installed. 1) Clips: Some people say they had trouble installing the glass because the clips don't move. One of the three support clips is on a spring mount and can be pulled away from the center. The other two are fixed. 2) Gap to ceiling: The white core is visible from the side. The glass dome edge is about 1.25 inches from the ceiling. If there's a gap from the white core to the ceiling, then you installed it wrong. The central mounting post is adjustable to create tension against the mounting bracket. There is no flaw in the fixture that prevents proper installation. 3) Quality: The clips aren't always mounted straight, and their finish appears to be metallic paint over what I'd guess is die-cast pot metal. But the frosted glass seems real enough. The core is sheet metal with white paint. The two light sockets seem safe but are mounted on very thin sheet metal.

I like these light fixtures.
I installed two of these today - one in my kitchen and one in my hallway - to replace some very old fixtures that were here when I moved in last month. These made a world of difference. They're very simple and exactly what I wanted. Installation was very easy once I dug up screws to install the metal plates. ???? Why would screws not be included? Neither of the old fixtures had plates, or screws to screw them on. It's outrageous how companies pinch pennies at the expense of customer satisfaction. The problem is laid at the feet of the consumer now. How much money was saved by not including two tiny plate screws? 2 cents? Bizarre how companies survive these days doing business this way. So, just a heads up...go to a hardware store and buy two screws for installing a light fixture metal plate. You will be happy you did. Anyway, after the metal plates were installed and wires connected all that's left is attaching the fixture, screwing in light bulbs and attaching the glass shade. Take note of the ONE clip that has a spring on it. You can see the spring underneath the insulation. What I did for future bulb changes and possibly future owners, I marked bright pink sharpie marks on each side of the one spring clip (on the white metal base) and marked the top of the clip too, so I will know it's the spring-loaded one by just looking. It's the clip you have to pull to release the glass shade to change a bulb. You can't see any of the markings from the floor. ???? Plan ahead. ???? These take (2) 60 watt or led equivalent bulbs. I installed (2) led daylight bulbs and they're too bright. I think I'm going to change them to 40 watt equivalent. The fixtures look nice. Nothing fancy, but they're simple and attractive. Two thumbs up for the fixtures and 5 stars. Zero stars for not including the needed metal plate screws.

Looks good. Easy to install
Easy to install and looks good BUT it’s way over priced. Inflation strikes again !

Difficult to mount flush to ceiling
I like the lights and am very happy with the final install. I loaded them with very efficient 3 x Feit 800L 3000k 8.8W bulbs (Feit Electric OM60DM/930CA/4 60W A19 3K LED Bulb ) and I added a pull chain as I have three of these fixtures in my finished basement and wanted the option of turning individual ones off. The install issues should be addressed by the manufacturer: One, the insulation is too thick and keeps the white base from sitting tight to the ceiling: ugly gaps. If some engineer calculated that this thickness of insulation (1.5") is required for 3 x filament/tungsten 100W light bulbs, then they neglected to take into account that compressing fiberglass insulation ~50% reduces its R value significantly. What I did was to peel 1/2" off and since I loaded with 3 x 8W LED bulbs why do I care about insulation anyway. Two, 2 x #8-32 1" pan-head phillips head screws should be included for the electrical box bracket. On my first retrofit (of my old ugly 26W florescent fixtures) I had to reuse the old slotted head screws: I hate these things so I went to the hardware store for some phillips head replacements for the next two. I note that new ceiling electrical boxes do not come supplied with any fixture screws either, so same issue for new construction installs. Three, the weight of the glass dome is just enough to pull the white base away from the ceiling: ugly gaps again. My electrical boxes were secured to a joist so I was able to add two screws through the white base into the joist. This fixed the gap on the joist side. For the "floating" side I drilled through the white base into the ceiling to mark the location for a third screw. Then removed the white base and screwed a sheetrock anchor into the ceiling at this mark (I love the self drilling anchors). Then reinstalled with total 3 screws including the central white nut supplied. Done. NO GAPS. Three screws equally spaced around the periphery of the base did the trick. Just be sure you are not going to drill/screw near the wires or the spring clip.

Great light
Easyn to install. Works as expected. Used led dimable bulbs rated at 800 L and led compatible dimmer switch. Brightened up our kitchen.

Won't fit flush to ceiling but still nice
A center mounting nut is not enough to hold the outer edges to the ceiling especially with the weight of the glass. I had to drill three holes near each glass clip and put a drywall screw plug in the ceiling. All is good now, 3 dimmable 75 watt leds and this fixture can brighten any room to a level you will need with a dimmer. If you go to lowes or HD all they really have are fixtures with built in LEDs. They are seldom bright enough and the fixture has to be removed if the LED fails. Talk about planned obsolescence, ridiculous.

Good Fixture
Installed and nice and bright. The glass dome is held in place with one of the clips being spring-loaded; you pull it out to install/remove the dome. As long as the spring-loaded clip holds up, all's OK. The cross-bar/mounting-bar should be 1/2 or 1 inch longer on each end. I installed over a standard cutout box and the mounting bar was just a little too short to stretch across the cutout hole. I improvised by putting a piece of strapping/galvanized steel across one side of the cutout and put the crossbar over that.

Decent value for the price - would buy again.
With today’s LED lights I’ve found open fixtures are a must. All my old 2 light fixtures would get too hot inside and the led lights would overheat and shut down until they cooled off. Like others, I was worried about quality so bought one fixture to try. When that came, and I found the build quality decent enough for my needs, I went ahead and ordered the other four I needed. I was pleasantly surprised. Decent value for the money.

Excellent Value in a 2 Lamp Fixture
Bought this to replace the ceiling light in a bedroom. Previous fixture had GU24 base CFL light bulbs. I hate bulbs that don't have a standard screw type base. I also hate CFL bulbs. Worst invention ever. Two GU24 CFL bulbs cost almost as much as this fixture. Adapter sockets same story. This fixture is well made and took all of 1/2 hour to have it installed. Fitted it with LED bulbs. Doubt I will have to look at it ever again. Excellent value. Arrived well packed and quickly.

Good Quality For Price
Wasn’t that easy to install, but that’s due to the weirdness and old age of the electrical in my house. For a newer house with up to date wiring, should be easy. Looks pretty

Was worried at first.....
Super fast delivery. Once it got here, I could see the packaging was a little dented and was concerned about the integrity of the glass. Upon opening, it was easy to see that it was in pristine condition and has been packaged with care. The installation was a breeze, black to black, white to white, ground to ground. Installed in five minutes and is now lighting my sons bedroom perfectly. Love this!
