Better for the planet and great for doing the job

These sponges took care of dishes, messes in the microwave, counters, and around the kitchen in general. They managed to clean dried up messes on flower pots and other odds and ends without losing any of their power or grip. On the other side of the coin, they did not scratch the sensitive stuff that these sponges aren't suppose to damage. The last at least as long as their non-eco counterparts and I would highly recommend them.

As Good as Regular Scotch-Brite, But Made With Sustainable Materials

Since I've been using regular Scotch-Brite sponges for decades, I was initally a little leery about any changes, even if those changes made the sponges more sustainable. Not to worry. These work as well as the traditional ones, with a non-scratch scrubbing back, and a spongy main body. I can stick them in the dishwasher to clean, just as I could the old ones. Because they are dye-free (the regular ones are yellow and green), I do have to pay attention to wihch side is which. The whole sponge is white. I've learned to pay attention, both by feel and visually. As with most products that switch to a more sustainable form, these sponges cost more than the traditional ones. The price gap may narrow in the future, although I doubt it will close entirely. In the meantime, if you are switching to more sustainable products in your home, these sponges are fantastic. They are one example of more environmentally-friendly products being as good as the originals. -- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

Good sponges

These are nice sponges that are comparable with the regular ones. I think there is room for improvement although. The scrubber part started to detach from the spongy side after a few uses.

Took the abuse I threw at it.

I used these to assist with the spring cleaning of our boat including fiberglass, rubber bumpers, and the prop. They possess enough abrasiveness to get built-up gunk off from the winter but don't appear to scratch. I used them with a variety of chemicals and they seem to hold up pretty well. Very little tearing with heavy scrubbing on the boat props. No tearing when used on the fiberglass on both smooth and rough surfaces. I'd definitely use them again.

Great durable sponges

These scotch Brite scrub sponges seem to be more durable than the regular blue soft sponges. I have used them on any pots and pans with tons of soap and they have not fallen apart at all. It is nice that they are made of recycled material so that more plastic does not end up in our oceans. They are non-scratch so that they are safe to use on your delicate plates and pans. You can sanitize them in the dishwasher over 20 times.

Seem to be as good as the normal ones

Was excited to try this out as this is a product we use regularly... well, the green and blue versions of these sponges. These are made with partially recycled materials and I find the scrubber to be comparable to the normal edition of these sponges -- outside of the color, I couldn't really tell a difference. The sponge side seems comparable as well -- holds a lather, rinses and absorbs just fine. Recommended!
