Perfect match

Was a perfect match to the one I broke. The model hasn't changed shape or design in the year since I bought the originals. And the one I broke was not a product defect. It was user error.

Sleek and quite cheap but looks great

Long story short - my landlord never changed out the lock on my bedroom door and I never had an issue with it until I accidentally closed it on my way to the shower. The door had a KEY LOCK and she never gave me the key and I'd never closed the door when I wasn't in my bedroom. Anyways, a locksmith and $200 later, I bought this door lock to replace my old one. It feels heavy and sturdy and if I lock myself out again, all I need is a coin or something slim to get myself into my room.

Great quality

Just love these door knobs.very very smooth functionality. Very easy to install. Installed so easy an they work so smoothly. Look beautiful and shiny. This style is awesome as the outside of door knob has an indentation line in case you have to get in for an emergency. Comes with key but a coin works just as well to turn it an get entrance immediately. I stay away from knobs like brinks that have the metal stick to get into a tiny hole you must a line perfectly that never seems to work smoothly. In an emergency you don't have time to fiddle with it. Delivery was quick. Love these knobs. Priced very fair

Stainless Steel?

Less than a year ago I replaced all door knobs on our beach front condo with this style to avoid rusting. Stainless Steel? Generally magnets don’t stick to stainless AND stainless means it will not rust, often not the case with Chinese “Stainless Steel”. The jury is still out on the made in China knobs themselves as a magnet does not stick but I can tell you the strikes and internal mechanism are not Stainless Steel as magnets stick and in short order I’m seeing rust particularly the somewhat expose strike with I theorize are actually Nickel plated steel. I feel the description of Stainless Steel misleading. Not bad for the price but I expect no longer service life than any other normal lock sets. From the get go I was not impressed when I installed one set on a door. My last test was to lock it from the inside. It locked alright but would not unlock. Luckily I had installed this on a bedroom with two doors. Had I put this on a bathroom with only one door I would have been a really unhappy camper. Because I had not ordered spares in anticipation of failures from new, I did a post mortem. It involved unbending tabs and disassembly, not for the faint hearted. Turns out one key part was installed upside down. The lock worked properly when reassembled.

Satin Stainless is a great finish!

This was a replacement for old knobs - probably from the 1950s - in our small 1890-built house. A fresh coat of white paint on previously dark/oxidized pine walls made a dramatic difference in many ways, and conventional brass-colored hardware didn't meet the new standard. We tried a few other stainless knobs but this Dexter model was the best looking of the bunch. Install was very easy and only required a little fitting with a half-round file to nest the barrel. The machining is good in finish and in operation. No complaints so far.

Good Looking Door Knobs | A Little Lightweight

Good looking but a little on the lightweight side of things. I’m not sure how that will affect their durability. Installed for a major remodel. Overall I’m happy with them. Bought the brushed nickel version.

Works really good wasy to put on the door. Quality of it feels pretty good. I got the door knob cause the kids would lock the door from the inside. This helps me to unlock quick from outside.

Good Enough to Get The Job Done

Works just like it should. Easy install. Looks good. Good replacements. This is not high security. It's a doorknob that has a ceremonial locking mechanism. None of these are made like they once were but they are good enough.

Used for bedroom door to add privacy and keeping with the decor of the other doors. It's pretty easy to enter from outside the room with the small slot, son was able to unlock and open with his finger nail. So if you want something more secure maybe get the one with the small hole, little more effort needed for that one to get in. Turn lock from inside room smoth, works well. Good quality product.
