I installed this on my truck winch along with a new synthetic winch rope . It looks nice and is very easy to install !

Oxidized discoloring over time

I was disappointed with Rough Country's Winch Fairlead after just months of being installed on my Jeep Wrangler. Unfortunately it is no longer black and has turned into a copper orange color. Since my vehicle is black everything, this piece now sticks out and looks off. It went through one winter season installed but it is a secondary vehicle stored in the garage when not driven. I had high hopes when I received this item but ultimately I have been very let down with the results and will now be searching for a new one.

Ordered this rough country fairlead to replace my rollers after getting synth line, came in 2 days with no scuffs on it.looks great! time till only tell how it holds up to abuse. 3/6/20

Faded to brown after 6 months

Color faded some how.. not chipped or scratched... just faded pretty evenly... to a brown color

Pretty disappointed

Here’s a pic installed with about 9 months of use. It’s a good fair lead, however, the finish is faded to a mostly gold brown. If that’s not an issue for you, it’s a solid item. If you want a BLACK fairlead specifically, you’ll get one for about 7 months.
