Does fine.
It is an ok tool to use on the speed bag.

Robust, but not stable.
I purchased this swivel because the swivel that came with my speed bag assembly (several hundred dollars) failed after several months due to wear. The replacement they sent me for free under warranty was more robust, but it was way too unstable because of the design. Thus, I removed it and installed this one instead. However, it's lopsided. I don't know whether this is intentional, but the result is that I'm not able alternate hands while rapidly striking the bag because when I hit it from a different direction, it destabilizes it. This forces me to do introduce intentional delays into my workouts, typically striking anywhere from 2 - 10 rapid hits with my left hand, then switching to right. During the switch, this swivel makes it necessary that I let the bag bounce back twice before I hit it again. The instability does not help my workouts. As with many other products, the problem is that a truly high-quality swivel may not be available anywhere at any price right now. For now, this appears to be one of the better ones available on Amazon. If someone intends to produce a "challenge" swivel that is intentionally difficult to use, they should label it and market it accordingly. If not, it's just another manufacturing defect.

not the quality i had hoped for...
I bought this to replace an older quality swivel that I wanted to save on the shelf. This new one is made in Pakistan. It is uneven and evidently not a top quality item. Also, be careful not to cut your fingers on metal threads that still have metal particles on them. Disappointed. It did come with the proper size chain link so the bag was easy to install and does swing properly & surprisingly it seems to work pretty well even with the quality issues.

This is a well made product.
Easy to install, and it is not made out of cheap metal like the cheaper ones out there. The precision of the universal joint makes for a faster bag. Works great, would recomend it.
