Keeps me dry, fits over my uniform. I didn’t wear a plate carrier though. Pretty nice but has a weird smell until the first wash.

Just purchased the Propper water proof jacket last week. It's perfect for my duties. I put the product through the test two days ago. Bieng on duty in a wooded area next to a river. 100% water proof as discribed. Besides the turetchal down pour and high humidity. My gear and upper body stayed dry.

This item is of amazingly poor construction, and is certainly not worth anywhere close to $59. I can get better rain gear at the gas station for $5.

Super Rain Jacket
My husband tried this rain jacket on tonight and loves it. Features he loves about it: * Long - the length is longer than most of his other jackets so protects him more against the rain. * Zips bottom to top - not over the head which is annoying. You zip from the bottom up to your chin. * Very large exterior and interior pockets - the 2 exterior pockets near your waist and hips are deep and you can zip them shut so good to put keys, phone, wallet etc. inside and they won't get wet or fall out. There are two upper pockets near your chest which have a flap to keep water out. Inside there are two deep pockets near your waist and hips - 6 pockets total! Lots of room to carry items. * Navy color - won't show soil easily, and goes with all colors of pants. * Light weight - not a heavy jacket so you can wear it in the summer, too, on rainy days. Easy to pack and carry. * Elastic at hem and bottom of sleeves - elastic is loose but gives a little stretch so should fit many sizes. It's also gathered so should keep water out at end of sleeves. My husband is about 6 feet and weighs about 180. The large fits him well with a little room to spare. The lining is a shiny fabric. There is no tie at the chin. It just zips up to under your chin. We will test this on a rainy day, and report back if it's not water-proof, but it looks like it should do a great job keeping you dry. There is a slight scent from the fabric which should dissipate as it airs out. It smells like nylon. My husband was thrilled with this jacket when he put it on. We've had a LOT of rain in the northeast this spring and summer - 4-5 days a week! - so this jacket will come in handy.
