Very good sandal but not for me

I have a problem post-op foot and I was looking for summer sandals. I purchased these because Propet advertised the inner foot bed was removable and you could substitute your own orthotic. Excellent design on foot bed with minor Velcro on toe and heel so removal/reinsertion was easy. My full foot orthotic was slightly shorter than the foot bed but usable. By the end of the day when my foot was more swollen, I was glad for the extra toe room. (still within sandal) I tried these around the house, using socks, for several days. They are well made, Velcro straps allowed for plenty of adjustment. My post-op left foot/ankle is larger (swollen) and it was great to be able to adjust both right and left as needed. The enclosed heel is quite supportive of the ankle area. I decided my post-op foot required even more support and stability than this sandal could provide. Amazon made the return process very easy. Follow the prompts on your account page to receive a QRC code which I took with my original packaging to a nearby UPS store which will do the final packaging to return to Amazon. If you need this sort of orthotic friendly sandal, you should try it. There is no way to know from reviews if this is right for you.

It works

While not the prettiest looking sandal it will work. I wear a 9 sometimes a wide. I ordered a 9M and they are more than wide enough even with the toe strap all the way tightened. The 9M is 10" long from inside the heel to the toe. The width at the ball of the foot is a bit over 3.5". I had plenty of strap left at the ankle. The dusty taupe is a bit darker (more tan) than the picture. If you scroll down into the pictures and description it is a truer color. There is no huge arch which works for my flat feet. The sole and heel back feels and stabile for over pronation.

Pretty nice for the price

Considering the price is about half of any other listing, these sandals are ok. From the outside they look great, but the inside stitching is a bit wonky, and they cut the seams inside rather badly. I do wonder how long they will last. But I needed removable footbeds and the price was right! The fit is true to size.

Great product and easy to insert orthotic!

These sandals are very well made. I replaced the lining of the sandal with my Aetrex orthotic because I have very low arches. Sandals provide stability and are comfortable.

I wear braces

I was able to get a width to accommodate My braces that fit nicely. The Velcro straps were plenty long enough for me. There is a small lip of the shoe exposed when the inserts are removed. This allowed my braces to fit nicely within the confines of the shoe. So much nicer than my tennis shoes clod hoppers! Unfortunately I still can’t go sockless because of the braces, not the shoes. They seem well made.

Comfortable

Comfortable shoe, especially if you have narrow feet, and they are adjustable. I am 83 and have a hard time finding shoes that fit since most shoes of this type only come in wide widths. For people who complained about the straps being too short, for me they were very long. My only complaint is that they are pictured with a black leather insole. The pair I received has a light gray insole. Disappointed with that.

Boring looking style but comfortable for walking

I like that I could just put in my orthotics & the velcro straps very easily. Walking is a breeze, the width is a bit roomy though I need wide width in shoes. Very light weight.

Strong ankle & arch support =comfortable walking shoe for problem feet!

When ordered at a great price, I expected a typical double width (WW) shoe, but it was a 4E (XX) width, which was quite wide across the foot bed area, I never expected to get to use them. Later, as I continued to experience swollen feet, I developed lymphedema in my ankles, feet, and legs, so ended up having to get special leg wraps and support stocking liners to wear when travelling or standing for long periods. These shoes were ideal to wear with my new stocking items and even complemented the beige colour exactly! I was surprised when they even had enough strap length to close the velcro exactly where it was designed to fasten (instead of being too short to fasten across swollen feet). Had I not had these shoes on hand, I'm not sure what I would have used for footwear going to physio each day! With the back heel support, I find that they're a sturdy walking shoe for use with my cane or walker. I'd highly recommend them to others. Just be sure to order the right size/width unless you need bigger because you're having a similar problem finding comfortable shoes, as I did. Now, my only problem will be what to do when winter weather moves in??

Be absolutely certain of your size

I did not like the way that the inner soul was lined. From the arch around the heel to where the other side of the arch ended, the outer rim of the shoe was lined in leather. However, around the ball of the foot, toes etc. there was a hard plastic rim that stood above the footbed. The side of the toes had to rest on it and it caused pain. In fairness to the shoe, I have feet that are difficult to fit and did order an extra width in case my foot rested on the outer part of the footbed. The extra width caused too much slack in the arch area and therefore, no support. Perhaps, with a normal foot, ordering an extra width would prevent the problem and the shoe would provide adequate support. Other than the hard plastic rim around the toes, it is a very well made shoe. It is a lovely shoe and I was excited when I saw it and so disappointed that I had to return them.

Comfortable sandal

Purchased for my mother who wanted sandals but needs footware that provides a good support and solid footing. She loves how comfortable they are and likes the colour and style. The velcro straps are strong and keep the sandals secured.
