Good shoe, just minor problems

Bought these shoes to help with my foot and ankle pain. It has definitely helped! My only complaint is that I would like a little more padding and arch support in this shoe, but otherwise I am very satisfied!

The good. I ordered a half size bigger than I ...

The good. I ordered a half size bigger than I usually wear because wide width doesn't always mean wide width. I ordered size 15 and 5e. They fit very comfortably. I am in need of ankle and knee replacements from arthritis and past injuries so I was looking for something with work boot like support on bottom but wanted comfort of sneaker on top. Check. Velcro instead of laces is also much easier. Problem, the top velcro strap. The bottom part is not velcro all across so you can adjust to your comfort. The underside of the velcro is just a small piece all the way on the side of the shoe, I have to pull it so tight to close it it's cutting off circulation in my leg so i don't use the top strap at all, which makes the shoes a little to loose. And the little loop in the back that is supposed to help you pull on your shoes, don't think a pigeon could fit one of his toes in the loop. Why would they make a size 14 5e shoe with a strap that closes like a size 10 regular? They need to have velcro across the whole underside on top strap so it can be adjusted, and the hole in the loop can be a little bigger. Do those two things and the shoe is perfect. Giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the lack of underside velcro on top strap.

Sizes run small

My husband takes a size 12 but I ordered up a sore to a 13 and still to small but when I wanted to exchange for bigger size they would not let you exchange so had to send back and ordered from different company

Top strap is too short by eoughly 2"

those of us that wear bigger and wider shoes have bigger calves and the strap to make it feel comfortable has to stay flopping around and not closed because they are too short . Plus the pull up strap in the rear at the heel is too small to put a finger in to pull them on, not even large enough for a little finger. I was told these were good boots I have my doubts and I will wear these for 10 days and see how it goes, I hope I dont have to send them back. Well I sent them back as going to try lace up and not deal with a strap.

Great boot but.

I normally wear a 15 5e but the propet runs a little large which I like. Propet makes the best shoes around. Delivery was faster than I expected. Started wearing them the day after they came. I work on my feet all day in a jail and walk many miles and climb many stairs. Only problem is about 5 days ago they started to make a clicking sound when I walk. I checked them for something sticky and found nothing. I inspected the inside under the foot bed and still could not find the problem. I found the problem was when the boot was bent in the middle. The noise is getting louder and it makes it harder to sneek up on inmates trying to hide things. I have never had this problem before and since they have been walked on I doubt they would replace them. They really do help my feet. At 6'7" 310 pounds that says alot. Just wish they didn't click. Guess I'll save my money again and hope they don't do the same thing.

Strong boot but....

The boot fits true to size and the "shoe" part is wide enough and comfortable. What is not comfortable is the ankle part of the boot it reaches above the ankle and feels hard against the shin, the velcro strap around the ankle is far too short it cannot be fastened and the tongue is far too thick for it and digs into the leg. It seems no allowance was made for the extra wide needing a proportionally wide ankle size and strap. It has a good tread for winter weather. However, I would not recommend it for extra wide feet. This boot needs to be reconfigured to more sensible proportions.

Good for swollen feet

I got these for my dad who has brain cancer. His feet and legs have been sweeping up a lot and it’s been a nightmare to find him shoes that fit. The straps make it so that there’s more wiggle room. It’s a tight fit.. but it fits!

Know how to order

When ordering you should go up one size. Once we returned the original order for a larger size we are very pleased with the shoes.

good quality shoe.

This was a gift for my brother that has problems with his feet after going through chemotherapy. He likes the shoe but even with the wide width, he says they are too tight and don't seem to be loosening. We could not exchange them as he wore them a few times.
