Easy

Easy replacement for Larson glass panel. A little difficult to engage; I intend to bevel the leading edge when I get around to it.

Be careful, look closely at the mounting holes

I have sliding windows in my three bathrooms which I believe are made by International Window Corp. (IWC). One of the plastic lock assembly levers broke recently and I ordered this part thinking it was an exact replacement. All of the critical dimensions seemed correct: the 2 1/4" hole spacing, the 3/8" projection of the locking arm which keeps the window from sliding open, the 3/4" width and the almost 3" overall length. What I failed to notice was that the holes of the original part are offset from the centerline of the assembly. In the attached photo, the original lock assembly is at top and this Prime-Line F 2590 assembly is below. With the screw holes in the center of the assembly and using the original holes in the window frame, the projection is too far away from the fixed window frame and thus you can't lock the window. If you have a window sash lock with the offset mounting holes, then Prime-Line F 2594 is what you want. I'm returning these and ordering the 2594s. The overall craftsmanship of the lock assembly is good. The metal frame and locking arm is certainly more robust then the original plastic. The metal spring arms inside the frame allows a little bit of play of the lever when it is in the unlocked position, but then again, so does the original plastic one.

Worked great on aluminum windows from the 70's

Thus product arrived today and I installed it a few minutes later. Worked for aluminum frame windows from the 70's I can't find hardware for anywhere. The winow lock latch broke over a year ago then I found this replacement on Amazon. I measured the mounting holes to be sure they lined up and ordered it and it works great.

Great replacement

Great replacement. Old latch finally gave out after nearly 20 years of constant use. This is nearly exact replacement, went on easy and latches great.

Great value and versatility

I installed a L**s*n new storm door and the cheap sash lock that came with it was not holding. This product is a quality replacement which securely holds the top glass up on the hideaway screen door. The manufacturer could not help. Hopefully I can...check your measurements before considering it. Mine were perfect.

A good replacement for the original sash locks.

These are a good replacement for broken sash locks. My only issue is they are made from pot metal and are easy for the locking tab to snap off. I use another thumb screw lock for extra security.

Good quality, required slight modification.

The dimensions listed are accurate, however I found that the shape of the latch is too angular to rotate into the groove properly and it ends up binding before its fully seated. To fix this, I had to grind some metal away to shape a more defined curve. The red line in my picture shows the curve where I removed metal. After this minor modification the latch works perfectly. It's equal quality to the original.
