Excellent product, well made.

Excellent product, well made. My old handle broke and I started to look for replacements than I found this product-line sliding door lock. I ordered this to replace the old style sliding glass door lock. It was an easy installation - everything included that you need, a wood handle, a keyed cylinder lock and 4 different hook lengths. Just used a screwdriver and it was installed. It literally took me about 20 min total to install including the lock feature. Perfect fit, I would happily buy again. I did not give it 5 star because it is aluminum made and not the sturdiest product available. PS: Goods are warranted against manufacturing defects for 1 year. In no case is Prime-Line responsible for user related damage or damage incurred during installation.

Does the job but supplied screws are too long

This is not a high quality piece of hardware but it is certainly good enough. I bough this along with the keeper, i.e., strike. I had a tough time aligning the latch to the strike plus found the 1.25 in screws for the handle to be too long. I used 1 in #10×32 screws and 1 washer to take out the little bit of slack. 0.75 in screws would be too short. 7/8 in would have been perfect but I couldn't find any.

Ok but

This worked fine at the beginning but the screw to the locking latch becomes loose over time. Had to take the whole lock apart twice to tighten the screw. I put a lock washer on and we’ll see if it works.

Screws that came with the handle don't work

The handle is nice and sturdy and looks great, but the screws were just barely too small to actually hold the thing together, so I ended up having to use the outside portion and screws from my old fixture, which doesn't look as nice so that's unfortunate. 3 stars because it does look nice and the handle itself is a big improvement over the old finger indentation we had inside.

Well Priced

This Item was purchased as a replacement for the one that had broken after several yeards of use. Installation was easy and straightforward. It looks good and has held up over the past several months that we have had it. It gets a ton of use (two boys in our house!).

Key won't turn right

Just like the one I removed, but the lock cylinder dose not fit, washer with it won't fit anywhere.

You got nothing for what you pay for!

1. It's not easy to install since the installation instruction is not clear 2. The 2 screws that need to the outside lock, inside lock and the inside handle are smaller than the holes in the lock. So, there is no way to install it. 3. There are 2 keys that come with the package, neither of them can lock or unlock the door lock. The keys seem to be the correct keys since both of them can be inserted completely into the key hole, but once inserted, you can turn it to either unlock or lock.
