Nice cage for the money

My parakeet loves this cage. He feels right at home. He flaps his wings when on the perch and climbs all over the sides. He really enjoys the large water dish. He completely ignores the smaller supplemental one I bought. He is constantly singing and chatting so I know he is comfortable in it. It was easy for a great grandmother to put together. It's lightweight so I can move it from window to table so he can watch TV and back to the window without assistance.

Very pleased with this bird cage.

Parakeets very happy in this cage. The product arrived damaged due to obviously being dropped but the customer servive was one of the best I have ever dealt with so gave high 5 on all options. Very professional and friendly and efficient. The cage is a great product if the carriers can get their act together as most anything can be damaged if not handled properly.

A little wiggly need to zip tie all corners and bottom

Really easy to clean, but with that if your not careful the bottom can slip a little and they can get out. ( I did remove the bottom bars as I worry about bumble foot and my birds like to play on the bottom with their toys) Thankfully my birds are very well behaved and return to the cage when they get out. You absolutely have to zip tie it together as it can easily come apart. Apart from that it’s a decent cage.

Worrisome for Small Birds but Good Cage!

I have two small birds. (society finch and zebra finch) I mainly use this as a comfortable travel cage for extended stays. It is long and can fit lots of branches and toys. I love wire floor with the pull out "poop tray". It fold up so nicely and easily. Here is the issue I have, both of my birds have managed to get out of the cage somehow. I do not know where they escaped from but somehow they managed to. Both time the door was completely closed and there was damage. (granted i'd be surprised if a <1 oz. bird managed to damage a metal frame) The first time was my society finch in the car. The car hit a big jump and then the bird was flying around the car and had to be bribed with millet to get back into the cage. My zebra finch (I just got) was just sitting on the table. I hadn't had the chance to get him to the vet yet so I wanted to keep him separate from the other bird. I came back into the room and both birds were in the cage I kept the society finch in. My guess is that they jumped too forcefully into the bars head first and managed to squeeze through. This is just a heads up to anyone with smaller birds. You may have a Houdini bird moment.

Worth the price, in my opinion.

Short List: Pros: -The price. I've seen smaller cages for more expensive! - Simple to set up. No tools required, at least not in my experience. - Quite sturdy for being a folding cage. - Space. Though this isn't going to satisfy a bird's need to fly around, there is enough space for them to hop from perch to perch and climb about. - Easy to clean. Cons: -A little easy to bend, sadly. Not surprising, and not enough to be of concern, but still notable. - Space: Both a pro and a con; there is enough for your bird's comfort for the night or to sit and rest/play, but not enough to flat-out fly. Detailed review: The cage is simple, but sturdy. It does the job if you're looking to have 1-2 small birds (which I was, works perfectly for my two Parakeets). There is room for their toys, extra perch, and a swing. They have room to hop around, and don't seem to be anxious or cramped. Granted, my roommate and I let the birds have free-range of the room during the day since there is no room for them to fly in this cage, really. No paint chipping, no rusting, though the cage wire was somewhat easy to bend (not that this caused any need for concern. It wasn't enough for the birds to squeeze out or get stuck, and it's not weak enough for them to bend themselves). Granted, the bending may be from my heavy-handed roommate. The dishes feel/look flimsy, but hold up very well. Despite this, I'm expecting to need to replace them sooner rather than later. The two perches are nice, the birds love them. One of them was a little warped, curving inward somewhat, but the birds like it that way. The removable tray in the bottom is VERY handy when it comes to cleaning! It's easy to remove, and easy to clean. All in all, I'd say this is worth the money as a starter cage for a few small birds. Please note that I've only tried this with my two parakeets, so I wouldn't know how it works for other species. I'd say to be wary if you're getting it for something tiny, though, as the bars CAN bend... Or on the other end of the spectrum, obviously don't get this for a larger/stronger bird. That one should be obvious though.

Good size, seems like it will be good!

I got this as a secondary cage for a green cheek conure. It's a little small for them, but they do prefer wide over tall, so for temporary situations, this is fine. Assembly was easy, once I figured it out. Instructions are useless, but it's really just a matter of lifting one side so you make the shape of the cage, then dislodging the bottom square grid frame and looping that around, then swinging the sides down. Be sure to secure the side tabs behind the other walls of the cage, and the hook tab above the bottom bar. Hard to describe, I took pictures but it won't let me upload. My biggest worry is the doors. I recommend using something to hold them down, as birds are very smart and upwards-sliding doors can be dangerous like guillotines. There is one spring loaded door on the side, I also recommend clipping that shut somehow for safety. Don't love the perches, they are a bit splintery and there are not many ways to place them as there are only so many horizontal bars. It is also a little loud when rattled, because the metal is quiet a bit softer than that of larger cages, this is similar to a hamster cage or something with wire mesh instead of more solid metal, but it's okay for small birds without much strength to bend anything. Toys should steady the rattling as well. Overall, it seems sturdy enough, has carry handles on the side, and I trust Prevue products. It came a little warped (like, the whole thing, not individual bars), but nothing seems out of place to where a bird can escape (at least not conure sized!). I will update if there are any problems!

great deal for a great price

I received my order in a very fast time from Date of purchase. I have in the past bought other cages but have to say that this ranks as a great purchase indeed. Well constructed easy to assemble in a very short time, when co nstructed proved to be an very sturdy. As a result I have ordered another one and mentioned my satisfaction and recommended this particular to by bird keeping friends.

This is a good sized cage but it is a bit on the loose side. I used plastic ties and this made it into a solid great cage.

Very spacious, excellent cage

I was able to assemble this cage in 2 minutes max. The cage is very spacious and there are 3 smaller doors with one big door to add things to the cage. There is also a side door. My budgie is very happy in his new cage and I can't wait to add toys and more perches. Overall great cage and happy I bought it.

Long wait

Had to wait around 3 weeks for item to come into stock, the cage is a good size for the price and my budgies are happy, could be a little more sturdy, does wobble around quit a bit.
