Received defective product initially, replacement works fine

This is actually a really good cooker. But I received a faulty, and frankly dangerous, product initially. The safety valve was basically just a hole, the lead (or similar) filling I would expect to see in it was completely missing. We did not notice this and proceeded to try and cook lentils in it. When the pressure built up, suddenly all the steam came gushing out this safety valve. If I were standing anywhere close to it, or worse standing with face over it, the burns would be really bad. We requested a replacement, and the new one works just fine. But its really sad that they are shipping these dangerous products as is to customers. Please check yours carefully before using.

Stainless steel dishwasher safe

The media could not be loaded. We bought a used unit from amazon warehouse but to be honest this looks brand new at the half price. Being a stainless steel pressure cooker its totally dishwasher safe. I prefer stainless steel also because in some studies excess use of aluminium has been linked to numerological diseases like alzheimer.

I like the new design of the lid that collects liquid and vapor coming out as it cooks.

Using it for many recipes including cooking rice and lentils.

Cooker doesn’t work

Hello, We tried making rice in the cooker two times. We added extra water but the rice was half cooked both the times. There is no whistle at all to know that the rice is cooked. We ordered the same cooker twice, the first one was broken and this one isn’t functional. The cooker is of no use to us as it is not working as expected. We want to return and get the refund but the return window is closed. Please advise. Thanks Swati

Well constructed

High quality product. Attaching the lid the first time was confusion. There is an arrow on the pot to the right of the handle (on the pot ) that has to be lined up with the arrow on the lid before closing. I use both hands, one on the back of the lid and one on the handle, to close the lid. Quite simple and not difficult. It has a heavy bottom that holds the heat, which allows you to lower the heat setting on the burner. Cleans up nicely. I am editing my review because- today I cooked pasta in this pressure cooker on a front burner of my stove. I had some hamburger in my frying pan on the back burner. When the pressure relief valve released a big blast of steam it could have affected my arm, had I been reaching across it. Bottom line is USE THIS ON ONE OF THE BACK BURNERS to avoid making contact with steam releases. I will never reach over (across) a hot pressure cooker. Just a word of caution.

Works for induction

It works well on the induction stove. However, the lid appears to be faulty, it is hard to close when new. It has to be pressed hard with both hands to place it properly in place, otherwise, the lid will slide only on one side and get stuck. It happened once when my wife was cooking. Luckily, I could remove the lid by lifting the lid that was out of groove with the help of a flat screw driver and pressing the other side so that it could be rotated iback to the position from which the lid is released. Further, the edges are sharp and not smooth and can hurt your fingers when washing if not done carefully.
