Great product, wrong screws.

Powertec makes great products, and these are no exception. However, beware that there seems to have been a packaging error (unfortunately, not the first time with a Powertec product, either), and my kit was shipped with fine-thread flat-tip machine screws, not the coarse thread wood screws in the photo (which are fairly important for attaching these brackets to a wood table top). I've contacted Powertec, and assume they'll send replacement screws (as they've done in the past with other mis-packed products), but it's a hassle other customers should be aware of.

Great Quality

Used these for a bed-to-bench conversion and they worked great. Much better quality than what was offered by the local Home Cheapo (not putting them down--I shop there all the time!). But seriously, these were much better and came with all the necessary hardware that many others do not.

Very sturdy way to attach legs to aprons

I’m an amateur cabinetmaker, but had no experience with this particular type of construction. I bought these because I’ve had a heavy table held together with kerf mounted metal corner braces like these for 35 years and it’s still rock solid. The directions that came with the set were pretty clear but didn’t say what size bit to use to drill the hole for the hanger bolt. I used a 1/4” bit and it seemed to work well, giving the bolt something to grip. The main difficulty I had was marking the aprons for the kerfs, getting it right, because it was my first time doing it. In the end I was pleasantly surprised that the table came out with almost perfectly square corners. Driving the bolts in with two machine nuts was ingenious- probably a standard method, but I’d never done it before. I’d buy this set again.

Ordered this item before and it came with 8 nuts versus 4. Otherwise I rate this at 5 stars if it came as advertised. Will purchase again.

Made a table and used the braces to mount the legs , worked very well .all hard ware was included except 4 washers which if they included would complete the deal .

A quality product
