Slightly Disappointed

As others have mentioned, the hose is a bit stiff making putting it on my duct collector was a pain in the fingers (meh). I have a VERY small shop so the stiffness isn't a real issue. My issue is while the product description states: "‎INCLUDES: (1) clear flexible hose, (1) Quick Coupler, (5) Key Hose Clamps," I only received two clamps. Granted while the hose and coupler only necessitate two key hose clamps, I still believed that I paid for five.

Air tight

I’m using this as the exhaust ducting for a CO2 laser cutter. It’s airtight holding any smoke/odors right where it should be. Perfect for this application.

hugely disappointing!

at best, this doubles in length from its carton. I could maybe get 7 feet out of it, and it retracts like a frightened turtle head. jokingly, maybe the wire would reach 10' if it stretched out by itself. ;) the build quality...on first glance, it seems ok. unsure that i can even use it. i got an amazon 2nd-hand (likely someone else's return), so it was just over $20. i think i still overpaid. at this rate, i'll need a 50' model to go 15 feet. and for nearly $100, i'll let the dust fly wherever it wants.

Fantastic hose for my dust collection system

I designed a dust collection system and used this hose as the main line. Very well made , flexed easily with next to no kinking. Was very easy to cut with a razor knife and wire snips. It expands and contacts well as the vacuum is turned on and off. If you need a quality hose buy this one with confidence

Great 4" Hose For Shop Applications

This is a high quality PVC hose to be used (for most people) in shop applications, particularly dust control. It probably has other uses that can be considered, but that's the application for me. I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered it originally, but have been absolutely pleased with the quality and long term reliability it's provided. I maintain a relatively small and mobile wood shop and use various slip fittings to attach this hose to my 4" ducts on both my jointer and planer. On the other end, I reduce it down to 2.5" to make it compatible with my shop vac based dust collection system that includes a Dust Deputy. Overall, the solution has worked out perfectly for my needs and has held up for the better part of two years now. Even with relentless fan-assisted particle ejection from my planer, the hose holds up to whatever I throw at it. I recommend this hose...should provide many years of service!

Works well enough but not rigid

The 10 foot length is nominal really. Plan on connecting a machine to your dust collector about 6' away at most. It comes in a 3' long box so the thing is compressed like a slinky. If you were to connect it with a clamp and then pull it all the way out with some effort you could probably get it to 10 feet. It feels heavy so hopefully it will be durable. It is not at all rigid and will flop around like a wet noodle if you are using it to vacuum up the floor. If that's not a concern for you then it will probably work well enough. My last one was much more rigid and did end up crimping and getting a tear in it so maybe this will work out better. But that one I could extend into hard to reach places like under the table saw which I can't do with this one. As far as it being clear, I've never had a clog in the 12 years I've had a dust collector so I wouldn't make the purchase on that feature alone. But it doesn't hurt to see what's going on on the inside.

Sturdy

The media could not be loaded. I actually bought this for my ferrets to play in to be able to see them. This product is very durable since the ferrets like to bite down on it however the only downfall is when you first get it you can’t stretch it out so what I did is I soaked it in hot water in my bath and I stretched it out with my hands and it worked.

Used item, less cost and good quality

This was a used item but it looks like new. I normally buy new items all the time but I am glad I buying this, thus saving money. How long it was used? I don't know but it looks good and sturdy.

I used this for my ferret. He LOOOOVES it. It is 20x more durable that the one by marshal. We had that one first but he chewed through it. This one is suuuuuper durable. Perfect! :)
