Easy and Fun Craft for The Younger Ones
My 3 year old granddaughter and her 6 yr old brother both loved this. They had fun for hours making up their own patterns. It's a great independent activity. An adult is only needed to do the ironing. I definitely recommend Biggie Beads. Be careful to get the Biggie pegboard that fits the beads.

Much larger then the regular size.
I saw a video on making enamel dots. This intrigued me. I love making embellishments. I have never bought or used perler beads ever. I asked a friend if she had 6 to give me so I could do a test before spending $ buying a tub. I didn’t know the beads were so small. There are at least 25 different colors. I did my test, searched for the best price, ordered it on Amazon. I don’t plan on making any shapes I only want to make lots of dots. There is a whopping 11,000 beads which I’ll never use up in my lifetime! The beads are melted in an oven. I had to do a lot of testing to find the right temperature using my convection toaster oven. I even used one of those mini electric looks like a fry pan. I use it when I’m making marshmallow pops to keep the melted chocolate in a glass measuring cup wam enough for dipping. This works really well. First you have to place the beads on parchment paper to keep from sticking to the cookie sheet/tray. I found that if the temperature of the oven is too hot the paper will burn and turn brown. Although the beads melted ok they were stuck on the paper. Now I have paper stuck on lots of beads. They are still usable but I prefer not to have that problem. You can only use the parchment paper once, use a new sheet for each batch. Most videos did not mention this. I watched several videos and only one person said she was using Biggie Beads. Doesn’t seem like too many stores/sellers sell them. I ordered them on Amazon and received it the next day. There are only 8 different colors, a little disappointing. As you can see by my picture the Biggie Beads are huge next to the “regular one”. There is a mini bead also and I can’t imagine what size they could be. The tub I ordered looks pretty mini already although it doesn’t state it on the tub. I am going to order some silicone mats on Amazon to melt the beads on. This way they’ll all slide off without sticking. Even when the beads were baked and the paper browned slightly I still had to peel them off. Not as bad as burnt paper. I think for the convection oven, baking it at 325 for at least 30 minutes or a little longer gave me the best results. If you let them bake longer some might flatten out more but not much more. Some didn’t flatten/spread any more at all. It would depend on how thick you want the dots as well. In a regular toaster oven or oven I would try 325 for 30 mins. The convection is 25 degrees higher. Sounds like it takes a long time to bake. I put them in the oven and do others things, sometimes I forgot I was melting beads. BTW the very first video I saw, the person had the oven temp at 450, I can’t remember how many minutes. It was way too hot, one bead had burnt edges and the paper got burnt.

Like big brother's perler beads, but better for a 4-yr-old
I purchased this along with the Biggie Fuse Bead Pattern Cards and Pegboards (model 80-70729) for my grandson's 4th birthday. He loves it, and it keeps him happily busy with his own set of beads while his older brother works on projects with the regular sized beads.

Greet, but BIG, and pretty expensive
I've used regular Fuse Beads, and Aquabeads. I like those products, and this is right there with them. I think all products are equally nice, and have their pros and cons. Pros - I think the greatest strength these have is that these are less frustrating to work with. They are larger, so they are easier for children to work with and place using their hands. Additionally, they do not knock over as easily due to their size and the larger peg boards you use with them. These also are good quality because the plastic is thick and vibrant. Due to their solid/nice design, they also can be used as beads (in lieu of pony beads) for art projects which is cool. Cons - My biggest knock on these is that they might be TOO big. I felt like these were slightly too big, and the designs seem to come out a little less nice than the other products because of that. Also, due to their size, they are not as great of a value, because for the standard price of 20 dollars you find on Amazon (I did not pay that much), you only get 1200 beads - not a great deal for a simple product. They should be more like 10 dollars for the amount. Overall, I would buy these again, just like I would buy the comparable items that I mentioned earlier, but for different reasons/uses. These may fit a need that you have, and I will buy more in the future.

Great for preschool age kids!
I've been wanting to do some perlers but I have a 4 year old who I knew would not take no for an answer if I had beads of any kind in the house! :D I ended up buying these on someone's recommendation and I'm thrilled! They are big enough for her to pick up and handle with ease. I would recommend that you pay attention to how long you are ironing them because we warped one of the peg boards trying to melt them sufficiently. Another trick is to create your design and then tape over the top of it with painter's tape or masking tape and lift the design off, flip it, and iron the other size. That way you don't end up with warped boards. All in all I am super happy with this purchase. I do wish there was a wider selection of colors available however.

One of the best things for teaching fine motor skills
I enjoy having these beads in my classroom because not only do they assist in fine motor skill development they are also fun. I love watching my students create patterns. They get real excited when I tell them there are 225 beads that they have been placing on the frame.

That they should sell shapes for biggie beads
I have used them for my handicap sister cause she does not have full mobility of her 2 hands ,she just love those and can’t work with the small beads they are to small for her to hold. The only disappointment is that there are no shapes to work with the biggie beads, but it’s a great product

Easier for small hands than regular perler beads.
Easy to work with especially for younger children and nice colours. Harder to iron and do not look as nice regular perler beads.

Great for little kids
Kids love making crafts, and they are cheap enough to reorder frequently. Great for smaller kids learning to sort, and for fine motor skills
