Excellent filter
I have chloramines so I run this in between my sediment filter and my self made catalytic carbon filter to remove chloramine from water for winemaking and mead making as water is pricey and I can’t afford to buy 100 gallons of water everytime I need it. I have detected no chloramine in water filtered with it and have put 250 gallons through filter #1 and have a backup will see if it lasts the estimated 3,000 gallons or not.

This filter works great blocking large & extremely tiny particles in a very large amount of water.
This filters very many gallons of my family's drinking water wonderfully for our healthiness and great taste.

Bombarded with poisons from air, water, earth. and food.
I like the filter. Our baths have been much better and have no chloramine smell. The problem is that the filter goes yellow within 3 to 4 months. I can believe my wife and me was bathing in such a bad water for our bodies, for our hair. I have a gravity fed filtration system I made myself using ceramic filters I bought from Brazil. It is the best. I collect the water from the shower, which have two filters and then pass it through this third one (the ceramic filter) and only then, I drink it and cook with it. I was poisoning myself using tap water for cooking and other things. Not even my cats drink the tap water, which is only good for washing our pots and pans. When I can I collect rain water and also filter it. Which is probably better than tap water as it doesn't come with all the chemicals and other crap they put in it. It has been great. I have felt much better since doing this. You have to do anything possible to drink the purest water you can get your hands on. If possible, drink alkaline water. It will make lots of your illnesses disappear such is the power of water to heal us. I wish I did this long time ago. I also use activated charcoal to get the toxins out of my body.

Best for cloramine treated water.
Our municipal water is treated with cloramine. I've read that this is particularly difficult for RO systems to filter out of the water. Also, if not removed in the prefilter stage, then it will quickly degrade the membrane. These filters seem to be effective and are used in all three prefilter stages.

Tested with hanna tester for fish tank. Results were 0 for cloramine
Tested before and after filter for cloramine. Results after showed 0 on hanna test. Using for a koi pond. Not sure how long it will last for online filter. But can't figure out how to dose autofill evaporation water otherwise

Better to use a cow magnet and standard coconut shell filter
Purchased to try out. This is a carbon block activated carbon filter not coconut shell so it doesn't have as good porosity (filters out less VOCs). Chloramine removal works fine for about 2-3 months at 2 gal per day in my area but then is used up. So at $20 each one year of water treatment costs $80 for this one (4 changes) vs. $12 for standard coconut shell activated carbon that last 6 months at $6 each (2 changes). Instead, a method I use to remove chloramine (a charged particle) is to put a cow magnet at the bottom of a glass pitcher and fill with filtered activated carbon coconut shell water. After an hour the chloramine settles at the bottom around the magnet and the top 80% of the water is chloramine free. I just pour off the bottom 20% water once I use up the top water. This way I can filter the chloramine out without having to pay an extra $68 per year for this filter and skip all the extra filter changes. Won't buy again.
