Dorm shower upgrade

This is a decent entry-level showerhead. Better than the most basic, especially what you get in a dorm. My daughter lives in a college dorm and had wanted a better shower head off and on during the school year. She kept changing her mind on whether or not she wanted to deal with it, but I got this one, so we swapped it out. Easy to install, the hardest part for us was to get the old shower head off. Just have some teflon tape to wrap the shower arm threads before attaching this. Daughter is happy she finally let me change it out. Now she's moving out soon and we have to remember to put the original shower head back on before vacating.

This is a disappointing, almost "bare bones" shower head. There are 4 spray patterns and a "pause" position, but 2 of the patterns have such low pressure they are worthless as the water does not spray more than 6" away from the shower head and the center "massage" is super weak that it combines into a single, limp stream by the time it hits any part of my body. Other than the "pause" position, this is the same (spray patterns), but less powerful and smaller diameter head to the one that I had that was Glacier Bay from HD for $14. The "pause" isn't that great as water just runs down the face of the head and there is a clicking noise as the pressure builds. I thought the "H2OKinetic Technology" would increase water pressure and thought that it was the flickering sprinkler type by the description, but no, it's just plain/ normal/ unjetted/ boosted with worse pressure than my old, much cheaper showerhead. 2 of the large black outer spray heads opposite one another are dummies for symmetry in the design and nothing comes out on any of the spray patterns. Installation was easy and the plasti-chrome does feel thicker and the packaging was boxed and protected and not just clear plastic, but the best thing I can say about this showerhead is that it gave me the time to soak my old showerhead in vinegar overnight to clean it and it was just as easy to remove as it was install. If I had not received this "free" through Amazon Vine , it would have been returned, especially at the taxed value of $49. The chrome is currently listed at $29, but that may be a stretch for what you get.
