Great brand, but just an 'OK' shoe

We bought these shoes after I had a hard time finding shoes from Stride Rite in my daughter's size. They were always out of stock for some unknown reason... Anyway, the shoes are great! We purchased the Penny style in the silver color. The fit is nice and the shoes don't come off that easy which is nice for a new crawler. My only disappointment was that silver color on the shoes wears off quickly on the toes. I knew that going in when I bought them since I had read the reviews, but I was thinking that would be over time and that she would probably out-grow that size by that time anyway. Turned out that the color wore off in a matter of a week or so. Just slightly disappointed given how much the shoes cost. I would buy the brand again without a doubt, just probably not this style or color.

cute and comfy but the toe-paint wears off too quickly

I love the style of these cute and comfy shoes. We purchased them in pink, 0-6 months, for every-day (not dressy) wear. Baby was 4 months old when I purchased and had not begun to crawl nor appreciate belly-time, so I couldn't imagine that the toe would get scuffed so easily! After just one wear for two hours, I noticed that the paint over the toe-part exposed white underneath. After the second wear to daycare (8 hours), there was only just a little bit of metallic pink paint left over the toe-part around the edges! .... (That was a fast wear!) Baby is now 9.5 months and still sports these cute shoes with her every-day clothes, scuffs and all. She wears them at least 3-4 times per week, all day and they are still entact. She began crawling a month ago and standing/pulling up two weeks ago so in the past month, we have seen a significant increase in wear. We are moving to the 6-12 month size now; and I will look into a different pediped style - not this one, as the paint wearing off too quickly was disappointing.

Cute and well made but they scuffed up in the front after one wearing. I dont know if we bought a 'lemon' but it sure is disappointing to spend $33 on baby shoes and have them get scuffed up after one time being worn.

they are not the everyday shoes. They are elegant and I bought them for my daughter to wear them for her birthday. They are very cute. I love it.

Perfect! Toes didn't scuff!

I bought these shoes expecting the paint to wear off the toes, since I had read the reviews. But, I really wanted gold shoes for my baby for Christmas, so I bought them anyway. Well, she wore them all day Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, crawling everywhere, and there was not even the tiniest scuff! She has worn the shoes a few times since then and they are still in perfect condition. They look like they've never been worn at all. Maybe they have improved the shoes since the previous reviews or maybe those people just had bad luck. I don't know what they'd be like for everyday shoes, but for special occasion shoes, they're perfect. The shoes also fit very well. My baby had never worn shoes before (I only put shoes on my babies for special occasions until they start walking). Even though she wasn't used to shoes, she crawled just fine in them and didn't try to mess with them after the first few minutes. And they never fell off once even with all her crawling. Highly recommend!
