Fits a 12 inch Homelite bar with 49 links

I was hesitant in buying this even though it said that if fit my 12 inch Homelite saw which has 49 links. If it was any shorter with the 48 links, it wouldn't have fit. Turns out that I got it on the saw. I should never run out of adjustment when it stretches. LoL. Teeth are sharp and the saw is ready to cut. Probably order another chain for a spare after I try this one out

New Bar And Chain For An Old Homelite

My old Homelite XL chainsaw bar (about 12") was badly worn and the 42 tooth drive chain is only available specially made. I found a 12" Oregon bar with the front sprocket my old one never had. on ebay for older Homelites and it was for an S48 chain. The S48 has the #91 drive tooth (.050" groove) as did my original. Only differences are 6 more drive teeth. The new bar and chain were an excellent upgrade for my little saw. (Those that snicker at its size don't when they see it work.) Rebuilt the carb, new fuel and oil lines, and replaced the disintegrated, obsolete duckbill valves with in-line ones = Runs like new.

Didn't fit, too long

I ordered a 12 inch and got a 14 inch. It says 12 on the package but it's too long. I'll have to take it to someone to get a link taken out of it.

It fit my older Sears 315.34600 A new chain is like a new breath of life for that old saw.

Nice blade but description is lacking

I think Oregon blades are some of the best out there. Unfortunately the Amazon description is only one sentence long and tells you only 1 of 4 of the critical specs needed to decide if this is the correct blade for your chainsaw (# of teeth, pitch, gauge, & file size). As it turns out the pitch was wrong for mine. FYI, the specs on the package from the one I received: # of teeth: 48 Pitch: 3/8" Gauge: 0.050" File size: 5/32"

Didn't fit

Did not fit my saw even though it was suppose to. I took it to my local hardware store and had them remove a link or two and now it is ok. Probably should have bought one there to start with?

Fits Remington

Have an old 15+ years old Remington Electric 10" chain saw and couldn't find a replacement chain but tried the Oregon chain and it fits perfectly.

The chain is of good quality, however not compatible with the DeWalt 20V 12" chainsaw. If you are looking for a chain compatible with that chainsaw get: Oregon R45 Advancecut Saw Chain, 12"
