Doesn't vent well.
Forgot to put my last cap on and ended up mowing it, so saw this one had a line to attach it and though that would be great. Line broke off after a couple uses and fell into the tank.. Apparently it doesn't float, so stuck somewhere in the tank.. Other issue I had is that it doesn't vent well. Ran my tractor for a length of time and it stalled out like it ran out of gas.. Cracked the cap and ton of air sucked in. So now I have to make sure to either not tighten too much or crack the cap once in a while to let air into the tank.

Who knew a gas cap would be so hard to find and so easy to lose?
I love to mow, which is a good thing because we have acres to mow every week around our farm. Thanks to the assistance of my helpful farming crew, AKA My Kids, the cap to one of our Cub Cadet Zero Turn mowers vanished sometime between filling the tank and hours later when it needed to be refilled. :( The local stores, and even the local Cub dealers, did not have the part in stock and ordering online outside Amazon was over $30 with tax and/or shipping. Thanks to Amazon Prime and that VA does not require them to charge sales tax yet, i had exactly what I needed for a terrific price within a few days. Part did exactly what is was supposed to do and the mower is back in full time use. Thanks Amazon!

Vent in the Cap does NOT Pass Enough Air - Engine Keeps Stopping **UPDATE** #2
Like several other reviewers, I am very unhappy with this product. It doesn't allow enough vent air to pass which then starves the engine for gas. Used on a Exmark 25 HP. I missed the return deadline, so I can't send them back. I contacted Stens asking for suggestions on how fix the problem. They responded with a request for my account number. I told them I was simply a consumer that was trying to make their product work. They have not responded back. I guess I don't count. Bottom line, DON'T BUY THESE unless your tank(s) have an alternate vent system. Very disappointed in the product and in Stens' response. I won't be buying anything with their name on it. **UPDATE** 9/20/19 I drilled a tiny 1/16" hole through the middle of both caps and haven't had any issues with air starvation since. Also, since there is an inner "cap" to these, there is no fuel leakage through the hole. I thought I fixed my problem. Then, yesterday the top cap separated from the bottom cap. It just kinda vibrated apart. These haven't even been used for a full season yet. These things are really JUNK. If I could give negative stars, I would. **UPDATE #2** 5/26/20 The other cap just came apart. Looks like the top outer cap simply loosens over time until it can finally separate. What a bunch of junk. I actually used the tether from the first junk cap and attached to my OEM gas cap with a small stainless screw. Now, best of both worlds - solid OEM cap with a tether. Guess i'll be doing that to the second cap now. I very seldom offer bad reviews, but this junk from Stens really pisses me off.

WARNING! DANGER! ------ FIRE, BURN and LIABILITY RISK! ------ WARNING! DANGER! Jacks Small Engines CAN NOT be trusted! The gas cap does not vent and is completely worthless. The only way the engine will run without starving for fuel with this gas cap is to unscrew it and cut your grass without the gas cap on tightly or on at all. Very Dangerous.... Fire, Burn and Liability risk is far too high. I contacted the seller, Jacks Small Engines and requested a replacement for this defective and lethally dangerous gas cap however "Jacks Small Engines" has not responded and has chosen to ignore me. BUYER BEWARE! Jacks Small Engines has illustrated they CAN NOT BE TRUSTED. These people willingly and knowingly sell you a defective and dangerous product and once they have your money their version of customer service is to ignore you. WARNING! DANGER! ----- WARNING! DANGER! ----- FIRE, BURN and LIABILITY RISK!
