Better than the big insert
I bought one for myself and loved it. I bought 3 more to give to family members and they love them. All meats brown like they would if on an outside grill.

Would not buy again.
Pros: It’s very quite compared to the older 3 qt. Cons: Like others the non stick coating has started peeled away. After a few months of use the burning plastic smell is still noticeable. It doesn’t seem to crisp as well as the original 3 qt fryer which I replaced due to not being able to find replacement parts. The 3 qt is on its last legs and the 6 qt still isn’t big enough. I still like it for quick setup but when I have the time I prefer breaking out the gas grill. My microwave is on the way out and I should have purchased an over the counter microwave / air fryer instead of this purchase which I will probably be doing before year end.

An enhancement to the kitchen appliances
our first effort was hand made french fries. we bought the cooking pan and wire rack accessories kit, it's worth it. the rack allowed us two levels of fries, the bottom level didn't brown as fast so, swapped them half way through during the 'shake' phase. looking forward to experimenting with other items. appears bite sized items/appetizers may be our initial focus until we get more adventurous. I often submit reviews for products I purchase but was prompted by this NuWave seller in lieu of a $40 Amazon gift card. regardless, my review stands with or without the incentive. Since it's typically just the two of us, I expect we'll use this when the oven would be overkill for the small portion of food we're preparing.

You need this!
This air fryer is great as it is, but the addition of this grill pan makes it more versatile. It changes the focus of the heat, and makes more recipes, and food options possible.

Basket handle needs improvement.
This is a little expensive but a nice addition to my air fryer. The basket handle easily and accidentally slips out of the basket, in my case causing 3 oily stuffed red peppers to spread themselves across my carpet. Some cussing ensued. A vice and a hammer modified the handle a little and now it stays in place. Designers should have thought of this.

WORKS AS DESCRIBED
This air fryer is easy to use and works as advertised. It’s bulky, so not easy to clean. Nice to be able to cook most items, including meat, from frozen. I’ve only had this two months and the labels on the the buttons have already mostly worn off. I’m not sure this appliance will hold up long term with frequent use.

Over priced
A little overpriced for what you get. Tried to grill a steak and it didn’t come out too good. Rather a frying pan or broiler. Haven’t found a real use for the other stuff. I’ll keep trying

Good kit. Worth it.
The only down side to this kit is the wire second shelf. There is no safe way to remove it since it is all metal and get extremely hot!! That being said it is still worth the cost of getting it. It lets you cook more food in your air fryer.
