Perfect fit replacement for a Honeywell 20x25x4 filter, great value, works well

If you are looking for a replacement / alternative for a 20x20x4 Honeywell Model # FC100A1037, this is it. It is confusing, because you would think you would need the Nordic Pure 20x20x4, but NO, that filter is 3 5/8" thick whereas the Honeywell is 4 3/8" thick. Instead, you need this, the Nordic Pure 20x20x5 - it has the same dimensions: 19 7/8 x 24 7/8 x 4 3/8, as the Honeywell. Even though the product page clearly shows the actual dimensions of this filter, I feel labeling it as a 20 x 25 x 4 is misleading, or at the very least, makes it easy for average homeowners ( vs. HVAC technicians) to end up ordering the wrong product. Also, out of the five times I have ordered Nordic Pure filters, three times, (though not this time) the shipping box, and the filters within, have been significantly damaged. Yes, Amazon / Nordic Pure "made it right," but still, it was a hassle. Those issues aside, these are good filters, offered at a good price, which is why I keep ordering them. The funny thing is, my other air handler's stated filter size is 20x20x4, but for it, the standard Honeywell filter is too thick, and the Nordic Pure fits just right. Go figure... Top notch filters at a reasonable price.

These are not cheap but they are definitely worth it. I have been buying these for over 3 years now and they work great. The carbon component is really good for removing odors and the size is perfect. I highly recommend you give these a try next time you need to change your AC filter.

Great value compared to OEM

This is the first and closest competitor to the Lennox x6675 I found with a carbon element. It fit perfectly into the slot: 20x25x5. The MERV is less compared to the OEM but you get 2 for less than one X6675. The construction nor the carbon element are as dense as the OEM but it works for me and expected given the difference in MERV rating. Plus the fact that the OEM has only increased ???? in price each year, with no discounts found in buying bulks of 4. Key for me is the Carbon which helps with capturing foul odors when the air circulates through the AC. I regret my last purchase withOUT a Carbon element, you really smell the difference. ????

Great value, well built

I can't really speak to the Carbon. I usually buy the normal version but with all the nearby wildfires decided stock up some extras and see what Carbon could do. MERV 12 filters do a good job of removing smoke particulates from the air. We were experiencing Air Qualities (AQI) in the 600s where anything above 300 is considered hazardous and normal is usually under 20; so really bad like can't see a block down the street bad. Since I was putting in a new filter, I did expect improvements regardless of type. Maybe the carbon removed some odor, not sure. Air seems fine in the house. I like this brand, the filters are well built and at a very good price. I can get these 2 packs for less than a single filter locally. Depending on who's packing the shipment, sometimes the shipping label is applied to the 2-pack carton, sometimes the carton is put in an amazon box. I've had some beat up cartons show up, but the filters survived. Think I'm lucky in that regard. I really appreciate that the filter has lots of white space on the sides so I can write installation dates and other notes in large letters. Helps me gauge when to replace (more frequently during wildfire season). When I forget to have replacements on hand, I've successfully vacuumed dirt off of these and extended their life a few extra weeks. Usually that's telling to how well built a filter is.

Great filter at a great price with added odor removing quality!

I’ve been using these filters for the past 3 years and have never been disappointed in their function, fit or robustness! We have a very large American Standard attic mounted forced air unit that I change the filter in every 6 months. I’ve been impressed at the airflow and how clean these filters keep my system and home. The added carbon filter really helps to eliminate cooking odors, like salmon (that I love the taste of, bit don’t love the lingering odor ;-) ).

Good filter but a bit misaligned

For the price I would expect the filter to be properly aligned so that I don’t have to doubt whether it’ll affect the air flow. I would guess there would be limited airflow restrictions due to the misalignment but still, they cost a lot of money. Otherwise they’re great at filtering and taking out smell from the house. They fitted well in my Honeywell media filter. The size was as advertised.

Love them!! I'm sold!!

These filters are the perfect fit for my Honeywell filter box. These filters are made just as good or better than the ones sold at the big box stores. The price is really awesome especially when you consider that it's nearly impossible to find CARBON infused home filters anywhere. These things really filter out that stale air and cooking odors in your home and catch the small particles as well. This keeps the unwanted stuff on the filter and out of your air. In my opinion, this company really pays attention to the miniscule fitment tolerances. They don't just glue activated carbon to the filter, they actually have it infused into the filter material. The filter media is held up with a pleated metal screen and the top, bottom and sides are glued to the inside of the frame just like the big box filters. With tax on the non-carbon filters at the big box stores, these add-up to the same price. These are a better value!!!!!!!!! Update: 5/17/2020 These guys need to stay on top of quality control. I have had several filters which were not glued to the cardboard frame. It's a hassle to return products. Do it right one time and everything will be fine. As well, the prices keep fluctuating from $25 or so to like $40 per filter, even in bulk.

Filter

The filters are great, they help lower allergens and smoke in entire home. The price was excellent compared to large home improvement box store, most do not even carry the hypoallergenic filters.

Good filters

Good filters but pricey - the size was a bit off from other Merv 11s we had previously, will need to by a skinny filter to double up so they will fit our unit. can't say the carbon makes a noticeable difference. For the increased price I may go back to the original non carbon.

Bonne qualité, mais prix en hausse

Rapport qualité prix en baisse car le prix a augmenté depuis mon dernier achat du même produit il y a deux ans. Est devenu moins compétitif. Qualité reste la même par contre, aussi bon que le filtre d’origine que mon système.

Fresh air

Does what is supposed to do . Air is definitely fresher with the added carbon. A bit more air restriction but nothing to complaint.
