Very powerful Ninja Mixer

Very powerful blender, actually more powerful than I needed. When I returned Ninja, they withheld $6.99 for return shipping? Order stated free return! My refund was $92.00’s, I paid: $98.99? Free return means full refund, that is my only complaint about this item.

perfect for my needs

I live in an rv, so space is at a minimum. I love everything about this system. It does everything I need from blending, to mixing and chopping, and is really powerful. Also, very easy to clean. Truly one of the best purchases I have made.

Cheap attachments break; expensive to replace

The whisk attachment separated at the stalk / whisk interface on first use. A new whisk attachment is $15 from Ninja. We won't be using this as a whisk anymore, which decreases the product's versatility. We've had better luck with the mixer attachments, and thus have given the product 3 stars. We have not yet used the stick blender attachment.

Great product

Overall this product has been great so far! It has many different handles you can use and really works. The only thing I'd say is that it's a wee bit heavy when you are using it for mixing cakes etc.

A disappointing dud

I have a ninja foodi 15 in 1 and was so happy with it I decided to try another of their combo products (who doesn’t want multitaskers that save space?!). This machine is severely lacking. I sent it back as defective because it wouldn’t start multiple times and flashed the “overheating” error before it had been used at all. Once I finally got it to start (long minutes of unplugging, plugging, detaching and reattaching), it was pathetically slow at top speed. I mix faster by hand. My 18 year old $20 black and decker mixer from Walmart blows this thing out of the water. I hope for Ninja’s sake it was whatever was defective with mine but I don’t know. It overheated very quickly, and I had to stop half way through making key lime pie. A hand mixer should be able to finish the job. Forget making merengue with this. The beaters wobbled on speeds 4 and 5, despite the lackluster top speeds, and threw batter everywhere, despite my following their directions of ramping up the speed slowly. The splattered batter went all over the kitchen and cooked onto the hot handle, making cleanup worse. The beaters were uncomfortably hot to the touch once removed from the base for cleanup. The only good thing I can say is that the immersion blender part worked perfectly fine and handled making mayonnaise. That’s not worth the $100 price tag when a $15 immersion blender can do the same thing.

So disappointed

Bought this as a Christmas present, which I only managed to get to the recipient this week. Just discovered it's a US compatible version, although I saw nothing mentioning this when I bought the item. UK converter adapters get a very bad safety review, so she doesn't want to use one. The return date has expired, so I guess I'm stuck with it.
