Color coded for US RV Standard, Very nicely constructed

8 foot cord with junction box is cheaper than some 6 foot cords. The color coding is RV Standard (US), not SAE (US). No big deal because the pins are in the correct socket location. Just make sure that you look at the diagram and just don't match up colors. I used this to change the connection on a surplus M-1101 Hummer trailer. Worked great. Tucked up on the trailer frame very nicely.

Check for proper fitting

this seems to be a well build item the only issue was it did not fit my 7-way plug. So, I had to cut the plug top off and rewire it to a new adapter to fit in my truck now this is a USA oem that was came with the truck so maybe that is why it did not fit. but overall, I think this product is a great trouble-free item or it seems to be as of now.

CHEAT SHEET FOR EASY INSTALLATION!

You can read any of the reviews they all say the same thing... the plug colors/locations are not standardized to that of American trailers. Here's a quick reference sheet to make things easy. PLUG: TRAILER: BLACK (12v+) RED (12v+) WHITE (ground) WHITE (ground) YELLOW (reverse) PURPLE (reverse) RED (left turn/brake) YELLOW (left turn/brake) GREEN (tail/running/markers) BROWN (tail/running/markers) BROWN (right turn/brake) GREEN (right turn/brake) BLUE (electric brakes) BLUE (electric brakes)

Great Accessory to Upgrade Trailer Wiring

I bought this harness to clean up/upgrade the wiring on a used trailer I bought. I also had the need for the 12v power which the existing harness didn't have. The product is high quality and very sturdy. The terminal box is wired according to the included documentation. Yes, the paint on some of the terminal don't match the factor wiring but the documentation of each terminal is correct. I tested each terminal to assure the documentation was correct. And from there, I install the kit. The grommets included with the box and as extras are a nice touch. This makes the installation have the ability to be custom. I am VERY happy and satisfied with this product. Just take your time to understand the wiring and when you do the install and you'll be happy too!

Not as advertised, but useable

Product description and flyer, show Brass wire connectors internally. However, the connectors are standard Aluminum crimp connectors. A Quality comment: The internal wire routing, of the Junction box, did not provide, in my electrical opinion, sufficient "Stress Relief". I'm going to reposition the cable into the box ~1.2in, so I can give the wire bends a little slack and straighten the connection point. (As shown in the product pictures) I'll also solder the wires to their connectors. Worth the money. Looks like it will provide a secure terminal enclosure.

Frustrating

Everthing was great except the junction box. The screws that hold the cover on came over tightened and had stripped out the mounting points. I was able to salvage the box by buying longer screws. With out this it would not have been water tight. Had I discoered this before installation I would have returned it.

This trailer plug with 8 ft wire and 7 Gang Junction Box simplified my trailer wiring job. This looks like it's made with quality materials.

Easy Install, everything wired as shown!

Really impressed with this NiLight 7 way harness and junction box. The quality of the coating, right back to the junction box, is 2nd to none! They included some plugs and grommets for wiring which makes waterproofing on my end more simplified. All the wiring was as shown in the diagram and super simple to add my wiring harness into the junction box. The seals appear to seat well and the box is solid once mounted to the frame. I added some NiLight 18W (low amperage draw, still super bright!)spot lamps to the reverse circuit, bumper mounted. Should make those late night pull-ins to site easier????

careful of fraudulent advertising when you search

I wanted the wiring for my Murano, and when I searched this item came up, BUT it's not for the Murano, it's for the trailer that hooks up to the Murano.... Now I'm out the shipping costs and lost 10 days due to reordering the correct part.... My money for return shipping, my time = i'm not happy!
