Great for dry climates

Mine has been great for my area, as I live in the Denver area, and it gets really dry here. It will knock down a bedroom's temperature a good 5 degrees, if the humidity is under 20%. Yes, it will increase humidity, and you may not feel cooler, as you won't be able to cool as easily with your natural method (sweating) because of the increased humidity, but it will improve things overall. I actually use it for a humidifier in the winter time, as it can get down below 5% humidity around here. The only complaint I have is that the pump has failed after just over a year and a half. I'm looking for a replacement pump, as it seems pretty decent to replace it, but I haven't found one yet. Given it's price, that's still a great value for nearly nightly use.

Chill With Less Watts

I've only had it for a few days, but seems to really complement our house A/C. Going through a heat wave in the high desert very low humidity where we live (by Lake Tahoe) and it was tough to keep the bedroom cool without breaking the bank. Put this in and it seems to have dropped the temp in the room by 3-5 degrees. Looking forward to when we can open the windows on not-as-hot days and turn the A/C off. Con: I have to fill the tank up three times a day.

Love this!

I love that you can either put it on humidifier or cooler. The remote control works great. It’s been great for hot flashes! I turn it on for a few minutes until the hot flash is over. We also have one of these in our bedroom and keep it on all night. We haven’t had to add water that often so that’s nice. With the very hot weather of late, this air cooler has been a blessing!

Doesn't work and will make the room more humid.

I'm in an area with dry summer heat and It doesn't feel any cooler than a regular fan. Even with the ice packs the air feels the same. The fan itself will create humidity in the room, so you can't really use it with the door closed, it will just make it humid. The fan itself is relatively quiet, but also doesn't push as much air as a normal fan. The worse part of the unit is when it's plugged in and not on it will still randomly make pump noise. Don't waste your money!

Slightly better than a fan in the heat

It doesn't do much for us here in this heat but it blows well...when I put the cool mode is makes this loud sucking sound like it's not getting any water but the container is full at max level
