Peace of mind

We bought the Nanit to monitor our son knowing that when it was time for him to sleep on his own, that would be an adjustment to us as new parents. We chose this camera specifically because it has the most comfortable breathing monitor compared to other baby monitors. Once our son outgrew the 0-3m band, it was a no brainer that we would decide to invest in the next size up. The band is lightweight and secure enough to stay on our son all night. Hands down, the best investment for peace of mind.

A great utility to have for nervous parents.

The with the increase of RSV, it's been great to be able to get a reading on this. It's calmed us down when he's been sick with a cold. And if you super congested or too full and spitting up, it's really nice to be able to strap this thing on him and have a little bit of a guide rail at night. Basically don't get too concerned about any false positive or alerts you have. We haven't had any false positives but we are well aware that it just means to take a look. This thing's just pretty expensive for what it is. I really wish Nanit didn't gouge their prices so much. They're selling them like they're premium, but I've never seen a place trying to nickel and dime you so much that was actually premium.

Small!!!

Good, soft, high quality, works well. Only problem is how small it is! Bought the large, as the small one that came in our camera bundle was very small and not even close to fitting around baby. Child is only 4 months old and it's only closing near the end of the velcro! No way would this ever fit 24 months. I doubt if it lasts past 6. Such a shame, we love it otherwise.

Just ok- overpriced like every Nanit product

My 9 month old can remove it- so I have to put it on backwards for him. Does what it is supposed to do. Just feel like the price is a bit much for such a simple product.

Love the versatility.

Absolutely love the Nanit products. They are all a bit pricey, but totally worth it to both my husband and I. There have been multiple times where I open my Nanit to peek at my baby and he is just facedown sleeping. If I did not have this, I would panic and immediately run in to move him. With using Nanit, I can see his breathes per minute and feel at ease knowing that Nanit will alert me if there is an issue. My baby has also never seemed to mind that his was sleeping with it on. We never put it on too tight and the Nanit is still able to accurately read his breathes per minute.

Not genuine

I am not convinced this is a genuine nanit product. Ordered from amazon as my daughter outgrew the small band. The breathing alarm has gone off 3 times in the 2 nights we have used this, it has never happened before. It also takes a few attempts to link it to begin the breathing monitoring. I have requested a return and a refund and I will order direct from Nanit and pay the extra few pounds.

Why aren’t these made in bigger sizes??

We love almost everything about the Nanit camera & breathing tracking system, and it’s been one of our best baby purchases, if not the best. Even now our baby is 11 months but still if he’s napping extra-long, I start worrying a bit, but then I just look on my phone and see that he’s still breathing and just in a deep sleep and I stop worrying. The bands are supposed to fit a baby up to 24 months, but he’s not even a year old and right on the 50th percentile for weight for his age, and they barely close over his sleep sack. I know they say the band should be worn over light clothing, but it’s not like you can put a blanket over them, so you need some way of keeping them warm enough at night, hence the slightly padded sleep sac. And the breathing tracking still works fine with that, but in a couple of months we won’t be able to track his breathing anymore, only because they don’t make a larger band than this. So stupid.

Bunch up

The bands tend to bunch up under baby’s armpits. It doesn’t have quite enough stiffness or rigidity to fit properly, especially because of the way that the velcro is in two strips one on either edge. We much prefer the nanit sleep sacks. But the bands are great for naps, especially when baby has already fallen asleep and you need to just quickly throw a band on before you put them down.
