Solid Moen Product.

This is a good product. The upper handle is not the straight bar as it looks here, but instead a slightly curved product, that looks a little bit like an insect wing in shape. Although it is plastic, is it solid. I installed this quickly and easily and have had no issues. Yes, it is a little pricey, but Moen produced a good, solid product, and you are paying for that price. Brushed nickle is also more expensive than other finishes, and that doesn't help. I have had no issues or leaks with this product (I did use Teflon tape when installing it).

Solid construction but only 2 settings.

I got this in the mail today and posted pics for everyone. It is made of metal and not cheap plastic like the ones in stores. Unfortunately you can only use one shower head at a time and not both at the same time. If that doesn't matter to you then you should definitely buy it.

Good idea but needs rework

Simple enough to install but the thread placement leaves the valve handle out of reach. My clients will try to adjust only to have issues later

I liked the small lever to switch between the shower head and the hand shower. The lever is plastic, whereas the rest of the diverter is solid metal with chrome finish. I wish this came with a metal lever instead of plastic. The lever will get lots of use and is the weak point of an otherwise great product.

Your image of this product is not accurate. Your image shows a female (inner) thread at the side instead of a male.

The product actually has a 1/2" male thread on the side of it which is meant for a hose from a hand-held shower's hose to attach to. Your image shows an internal thread on the side which is not accurate and tends to be misleading. I contacted Moen and saw the proper image on its' website. You should do the same.

Not What I Expected From Moen!

Allthough this diverter has not yet been installed, I wanted to give a preliminary review - just as a heads'-up to anyone considering a purchase. As stated by another reviewer, the item pictured is NOT what is in the box. Please go to Moen's web site if you want an accurate picture of what is being sold. My primary complaint at this point has to do with the COLOR of the handle. Instead of chrome or a chrome color, Moen has attached a light, dirty brown lever that is not only VERY unattractive; it cheapens the entire appearance of the diverter. I want to stick with Moen productts; however, this item may force me to change my mind - at least as regards the diverter. I will either live with it, or return it, and once I've made my decision, I will up-date this review.
