They are an average pair of socks with some special breathing built in. they will last as about the same as average socks and will tear a little and fit funky one day and then normal the next washing. They are thinner than the high end ones that are in stres and sweat your feet but not paper thin like value pack socks at big box that last a day.

Lovely but one problem

These socks are great quality. They keep me warm and are great to wear with doc martens and tactical boots which are notorious for ankle blisters and injuries. My only problem is that my ankles are about an average size--I don't have candles by any means--but they seem to choke the life out of them. When I try to test the stretch of the socks, there's still some good stretch left. I just don't understand why they're so tight

Comfortable crew socks. Don't love some of the design aspects though

These are very comfortable crew socks. They feel slightly small/tight for the sizing but not too small. Pretty average socks really. My main complaints with them at that they have a few thin areas in the sock material which are probably meant for improved ventilation but out of the packaging there was already snags in the threading in these areas. I don't think they will be the most durable socks long term for this reason. Also, I'm not a fan of the grey coloring extending up the heel because this shows when wearing low cut shoes which is really annoying.

FEELS LIKE A COMPRESSION SOCK

I do like the look and feel of these Merrill socks. They come up a little past mid calf on my 5’8” frame. They feel like compression socks on the calf because they are tight, but I don’t mind because they do not slip down on me. They have a reinforced heel and toe, but the sock itself is not a heavy sock like I would expect from a work sock. They are made of 51% polyester, 42% cotton and 7% spandex and other materials. They are also advertised as having moisture management and odor resistance. While wearing the socks, I didn’t experience either moisture or odor. I am looking forward to wearing these socks with my boots this winter because they are thinner and will be comfortable when wearing the boots.

Average socks

These socks are true to size. They are very comfortable socks. They have extra support in the arches and toes. They are alittle hard to put on. I'm pretty rough on socks only time will tell how durable they will be. Happy with them so far.

Decent socks, but snug

Decent socks. They fit very snug. It's not uncomfortable, just onnthe tighter side for socks. I wear work boots all day, and I need a sock that's durable and comfortable. Well these are comfortable, but I'm not sure how long they will last as the first sock I took out was already coming undone. We'll see though. If these socks last long enough I'll up my rating to 5 stars.
