Bad knockoff of Smashbox liner

I found the dark brown color fades to red after a couple hours of use and is definitely not as good as the Smashbox liner. I won’t be ordering this again because I don’t have time to reapply every 2 hours.

The single most amazing eyeliner on the market!!!

I’m disabled w arthritis so the self sharpening, precision point paints a perfect liner on my eyes. Please, please, please make these in plum and dark blue!!!!!!! More color options!!!

OK but does smudge

This was my first Marcelle purchase. Other reviews helped to understand the way this sharpened (as you turn it to close, it sharpens inside the cap and where do all the shavings go?). I don't really care for the self-sharpening feature. There is no way to see how much product there is left and I like to have control over how sharp the tip is, which this does not let you do. Also, for the price you get less product. This item only has 0.25g/.008 oz. The Marcelle waterproof eyeliner crayon has 1.2g/.04 oz., NYX Professional retractable eyeliner crayon has 0.34g/0.1 oz., Maybelline Tattoo Studio Gel pencil liner has 1.2g/0.04 oz., and Rimmel Exaggerate waterproof eye definer has 0.28g/.009 oz. This product costs two to three times as much with the least amount of product. This liner didn't stay in place as well as others and faded. I probably will not purchase again.

Product information!

This product required instructions! First of all, when you twist on the cap, you click the top to advance more of the product. It does not irritated my sensitive eyes. It lasts longer if you set it with a small amount of a similar color of eyeshadow.

Waterproof and no smudge!!

Marcell is a great brand. i've tried many products in this brand have been impressed with the quality. I bought the brown eyeliner for my honeymoon. It is truly waterproof and smudge proof! Very smooth to apply! This product has screw on cap which is very nice. I have lost many eyeliner caps with traveling or the cap comes off and the eyeliner smudges all over my makeup bag. The screw on cap is a nice touch.

Goes on smooth

Liner goes on nice and smooth, trouble is that it does always sharpen like it’s supposed too

Easy on, stays on.

Goes on smoothly and stays put. My eyes are sensitive and I have not had any reaction or irritation with this product. Some reviewers complain that the quantity is small, but this liner is NOT meant to "dial up" like some, and since it stays on well and I never have to reapply, it still lasts a few months. It is important not to let it get too hot (don't leave it in a car, etc) because if it breaks off I doubt you can salvage it. Goes on in a smooth crisp line, but I can soften the line a bit with a foam eyeshadow applicator. Once set, it won't budge. Sharpener is in the cap...just let it do the work and don't mess with it! Sounds like some reviewers are dissecting the pen to see how it works and then they complain it doesn't work...leave it alone and it works great.

Not the best...

I previously gave this product 5 stars because it was the first and only crayon eyeliner I've used and it was so much better than my liquid eyeliner that I didn't bother looking for other alternatives. I coincidentally bought a different eyeliner from a different brand a couple of weeks ago and now I'm back writing a more realistic review. This eyeliner is not great. The formula glides on smoothly and stays on, but it's very greasy and transfers easily. By the end of the day, it's usually smudged, transferred onto my lower eyelid, or completely gone. I used to think that this was the norm, but with my new eyeliner, it stays put like it's supposed to, and at the end of the day it's still there, with no smudges in sight. The self sharpening feature of this product is handy, but it does waste a lot of product and if you break the tip, there's no way of twisting it out, and you have to discard the entire thing. I used to have to buy this every month or so, because it doesn't last long (between constantly having to reapply it or throwing half away due to a broken tip). I'm giving it two stars instead of one because of how much I used to like this and how long I used it, but honestly, it's not the best.

Built in sharpener, quality so-so

I have used this eyeliner for years and love that it has a built in sharpener. I’ve recently noticed though that the soft pencil itself seems to break off more easily than past orders I’ve purchased. Not sure if this is just a defect in some of the product or if the quality in the pencil has lessened overtime. Good pencil overall but may need to look at their quality as of late.

Disappointment

Very average. Feeling disappointed with Marcelle products lately, after trying most of them... I mean, this point looks nice on the picture - but in reality it feels like sticking a log into your eye! The whole "pen" is way too thick and gets in the way big deal. It is hypoallergenic, all right - this is where Marcelle totally keeps their promise. But the color - particularly Taupe - is waaaay too subtle! Forces to over-apply, ending up with messy, untidy lines. Simple gel with reasonably fine brush would have been much more precise than this "pen". Can't find an excuse to buy another one of these, if only to try a different color maybe...

Good & cheap

Love this stuff. I've been using it for years. Not exactly waterproof but you can't beat the drugstore price. Good for winged look. Normally get the bronze/copper colour but tried the dark brown this time and was pleasantly surprised.

Does it's job

I love that this stays sharp and sleek. The problem I do have is more of how it came to me in the mail. It came with a strong perfume smell and very greasy on the outside. I think something may have leaked on to it but I just washed the outside and continued to use it since the plastic wrapping was still intact. It makes a clean line and it doesn't make my eyes water like other liners I've used in the past.
