A Great Find

I rate this high mainly because I am delighted to find this lamp on Amazon. It is an improved version of the porch lamps my builder used 20 years ago. The candle holder is better styled and the ornament on top used to be simpler. Installing was a challenge. The builder had a poor switch plate mount in brick. The new lamp has a thicker base plate and the bracket screws were not long enough to come through the back of the plate. The decorative nut could not be attached (the two small nuts seen in the middle of the backing plate). I hit the hardware store for 3/4 inch screws which would give just enough clearance. Its a really big lamp for a rather lightweight mounting (two small screws) but I made it work. One word of caution, glass frames are very fine which is both attractive and potentially fragile. One of my 20 year old lamps had a broken metal seam and it was taped together with postal tape for years. Recently the glass panes fell out and broke. The other old one is standing strong. The new lamp seems very sound and I expect the same long life but I would inspect carefully. I cant see using any other porch lamp for my place short of an electrified New Orleans gas lamp $$$$.

Not new, but is definitely missing a part and dented

Missing one ball end, dents, and clearly installed previously based on the condition of the mounting hardware. I have no idea what Amazon used to stuff the inside this light and I didn't remove it to inspect the rest of this light. I just packed it up to return it.

Great product

I mounted these myself outside front door in our new portico. I love the size and the look. I used a smaller bulb though.
