Sorta worked

Was hard to install. Was very tight around circular handle end, where I feared one of our older children couldn't open in an emergency. 2 out of 3 installed, broke. We have left them on as they are now a visual deterrent for our toddler.-

Do their job

These work great but are difficult to open as an adult. However, they kids can't open them so it works

Opposite way

I am not sure how they would fit, because the door handles were put on in opposite direction so I returned them.

Not worth the effort !

not worth all the effort to install - very hard to squeeze even for an adult, and have broken 3 of the squeeze pieces in first 2 weeks - by 3 different people ! the plastic needs to be less brittle and more flexible!!

Exactly what I needed!

The media could not be loaded. I have a 3.5 year old who has figured out how to undo the locks on our doors (and managed once to open the door and let a visitor in without me knowing!!). I knew I needed to find something to keep her from unlocking and opening doors. Lo and behold, I found these on Amazon. And they’re exactly what I needed. Installing could’ve gone easier for me but overall it wasn’t bad. Tip: use painter’s tape to hold the lock in place while you’re trying to screw the levers back into the door. It’s a sturdy lock that works really well. Maybe too well lol It was hard for me even to get it into the lock position at first, but with practice, I got it. Kiddo won’t be opening the doors on her own anymore, that’s for sure. I also installed a second lock on our backdoor, and have the 3rd as a back up in case anything happens to one of the other two. 5 super shiny stars for these locks!!

Don’t work on commercial style door handles

I went back and forth about 3-4 stars. I can see how these would work for traditional lever door handles, BUT, my apartment has commercial door handles. The difference is that the base of the handles (the part that is attached to the door) is bulkier than regular level handles so these did not work for us. I finally decided on 4 stars because I really tried to get these to work for us and thought so many times that I was going to break the plastic on the door lock and there wasn’t so much as a crack in the plastic. So, they are well made.

Will keep some adults locked in as well

It’s an option to keeping lever doors safe from little ones. Takes some work to install. Not as easy as the regular over the door knob style. These require some disassembly. Once installed. It takes some force to push the strap down and up. Would probably work on keeping grandma and grandpa locked in as well. It’s not terribly easy to move.

Great for keeping busy toddlers safe

The media could not be loaded. These, as is, are great for closet or pantry doors that you only need to use from one side. If you use them as advertised you can only open the door on the side of the lock when it’s in use, you can see from my video that I just turned it slightly so that it sits below the door lever, that way I can open the door from both sides, but it still keeps my toddler from pulling down on the lever and opening the door. I find it pretty stiff and difficult to use, so I tend to just leave it in the locked position. I do absolutely love that it attaches to the door lever and not directly to the door with adhesive like some of other brands I’ve tried, that alone makes me these much stronger as well.
