Couldn’t have been easier to install

If you're looking for an easy-to-install light speaker combo, this one is a great choice. The installation process is so simple that even a 5-year-old could climb a ladder and do it themselves. The sound quality is pretty good, considering it's a speaker integrated into a light. While it may not be amazing, it's definitely sufficient for most users. Additionally, you have the option to sync multiple lights together, so if you need to turn up to eleven, you can easily do so. Overall, a solid option for anyone looking for a convenient and functional light speaker combo.

Very easy install and good sounding speaker

Great idea, put music where you already have a light very easily. I put mine in my bathroom and it was very easy and easy to set up I put three of these in 1 being the master and 2 paired to it and all I can say is it is great.

Very nice addition to the bathroom

I like this speaker light a lot. The light is bright and the right temperature. The “ring” style of the light also has a nice appeal to it. The Bluetooth speaker isn’t at a boombox volume but it’s still plenty loud while I’m in the shower. I installed the light above my shower. I would def buy again.

Functions well but doesn’t sit flush with my ceiling.

It’s easy to operate and pairs with my phone very quickly when switching on the light. The only downside is that it’s a pretty big unit and the spring clips are very tight in the opening so it’s a very tight fit. I can never get it the last 1/2” because it ends up lifting my entire recessed light housing itself. That’s how tight it is.

Exactly what I needed - Light is disonnectable!

I was looking for a speaker that worked in old recessed ceiling cans. The only ones I could find had lights and speaker combos. I saw this one had good enough sound and could pair with other speakers like it. I took a chance and bought them to see if it was easy enough to disconnect the light and just leave the speaker working and I was pleasantly surprised. To disconnect the light: 1. Disconnect the power to the speaker. It's just a little black clip that you can take off. 2. Rotate and remove the speaker itself. The slots in the speaker are sized so that you can put it back correctly. so take note of the slots when you put it back. 3. Take off the diffuser/light cover. Pry out the diffuser from the inside of the ring. If you make any scratches on it, the speaker will cover them up. The outside of the ring will be exposed and scratches will be visible. Ideally, use a plastic pry tool to get it out. 4. Disconnect the light cable. The light cable will be exposed once you take off the diffuser. It's a smaller clip that you can just pop off just like the speaker. Light is disconnected now and you can just use the speaker by itself if that's your goal. 5. Reassemble everything in reverse. Enjoy! Once I did this, I can now keep the switch on permanently that powers two of these speakers and an echo dot that I also installed in the ceiling. I never need to worry about the speakers running out of power and they will always keep their bluetooth connection to the echo dot. Good Luck!

Sleek, Bright, Stylish!

The (7) Bluetooth LED lights in the studio came out great. Easy to install, plug and play really. They give plenty of light, dimmible (with dimmer switches installed), decent sound (surround sound feel). Little pricey but worth the investment for my Airbnb Studio...

They are good lights

All of the annoying issues that other people have mentioned in the reviews aside, the most annoying is how limited the range for bluetooth seems to be. I finally gave up and connected these to my Google display to eliminate the beeping and even with that device being less than 4' from the lights it still drops in and out randomly. As far as light go, they're super bright... no complaints there. If you want bluetooth speakers though, I'd recommend a separate solution for that. Now that I have these connected to the Google device they stay connected all the time, or until the battery goes dead and I have to turn the lights on to recharge them. I think if you use these in an area where the lights are on most of the time they'll be okay. Probably a better commercial solution than a residential one. Update: I ended up removing these and just installing LED lights with no bluetooth. The beeping just got too annoying and I got over having to explain it to everyone who flipped the lights on. If you're using these in a situation where they stay connected constantly you'll probably be fine. If you turn the lights off and they lose connection and have to reconnect every time you turn them on you may be frustrated.

Awesome speakers...just pay attention to the details

I purchased two of these speakers for my back screened in porch a few years back for 2 of the 8 can lights I have out there and they have been working flawlessly. Recently, I ordered 2 more for over our hot tub to increase the overall volume on the porch (they weren't as loud as I'd like for them to be when the jets were on). Install on the first one was easy and only took 5 min or so...I fought with the second one for over an hour trying to get it to link to the Master unit. I finally called it quits, boxed it back up and selected to receive same item instead of getting reimbursed. A new speaker light arrived a few days later and linked right up no problem. After doing a little more reading in the reviews I found the below review on possible "generation" differences that may have caused my issue. I wish they were a little louder but I like my music louder than most. Overall I have thoroughly enjoyed these speakers and would recommend them to anyone. There are two different generations of 6SL units. Generation one was manufactured from 2017 to the end of 2018. Generation two was manufactured from the beginning of 2019 to present. Generation one units will only work with and pair to other generation one units and vice versa. There is a date of manufacture sticker on the back side of the 6SL unit that follows the following format: B 02 25 2017. Please use this to identify which generation of 6SL units you have.
