Our electrician loved this

The media could not be loaded. We had been looking for a pop-up receptacles for our new kitchen countertops, There are quite a few out there, many way more expensive than this one, but this.... well... our electrician loved this and he has seen everything on the market; he will only be using these in the future. One important note when looking for a kitchen counter receptacle:s it must be a 20 amp and GFCI (if it is near the sink), and many of the others are not. These units are very well constructed (no plastic), beautiful and awesome to use. We bought two of these and I will say, one is a little slower than the other, but I think with use it will speed up. Some of the best things are worth waiting for, I suppose.

Good quality, affordable cost.

Easy installation, good quality, flawless functionality. I installed three of these in my new countertop. Clear instructions, schematics are available at their web page. Very pleased with the purchase and the items. Four stars? The screws to mount the top to the base are too short, they should be 1/8" longer.

Stopped popping up

Used in outdoor grill!

I used this outlet as a hideaway plug in my outdoor grill. Very easy to install and fit perfectly. I really like the gfci included.

GFI floor outlet box for under kitchen island

Had this installed under my kitchen island. Adds the convenience of an additional outlet at the island for using mixer, toaster, blender and such.. a bit pricey but very well made, high quality fixture. I got GFI because of location in my kitchen.

High quality piece.

I'm an average DIY who's done a fair bit of wiring in the past. My wife wanted a floor outlet for her kitchen island. An outlet like this is one you dont want to cheap out on. This one is very well built and the housing has a good solid feel to it. Installation is fairly straightforward. The only clincher is if your floor is thicker than 2.25". If that's the case you "should" route out a small area of your floor (at the top) using the supplied template as a guide to allow the electrical box mounting brackets to mount from above. My floor was just a hair over 2.25" and I don't own a router. I do however have a drill and a tap so I merely drilled and tapped new holes in the electrical box to allow the brackets to still be installed from under the floor. Everything went together well and the outlet works great.

Love the look. Smooth operation (slow to open, but okay with that). Bought 2 one year ago, one is still working great and the other one stopped opening. Contacted Leviton and it was replaced thru warranty with no hassle.
