Love them

I have bought several of the different sets. I wish I would have just bought the big set in the beginning. They are so nice. Definitely something to pass on to other kids in the family

Another creative set from Learning Resources

Learning Resources play food is the best (in terms of playfood). This set does not disappoint. Most of the included pieces are found in other Learning Resource New Sprouts Play food sets, but it does have apple slices, swiss cheese, and a bowl of tomato soup with oyster crackers which seem to be unique to this set. My children love the juice box and the glass of milk. The pretzels and cookie are weightier than expected. The swiss cheese slice is thicker and larger than the other (perhaps american?) cheese slice. The glass of milk is about the same size as the empty glasses/cups Learning Resources makes and includes in other sets. The tomato soup with oyster crackers is creative, but compared to other "prepared foods" bowls that Learning Resources makes (cereal, macaroni and cheese, and oatmeal with blueberries), it lacks in texture and the details seem a bit sloppy (but perhaps they were trying to make the crackers seem emerged in the soup). The apple slices are to scale with the whole apple that comes in other sets. A slice is about 1/6th of an apple. I find it interesting that Learning Resources likes to include a slice of salami for the sandwich meat in sandwich sets. How often does someone use a slice of Salami for sandwiches? The turkey slice that comes with the Learning Resources LER9256 Sprouts Complete Play Food Set makes more sense. Also (and this is a minor complaint/suggestion), while my children love the glass of milk, it would be nice of Learning Resources made a half gallon or gallon of milk to encourage children to pretend to pour milk (an important skill when your child has sensory issues). Overall a good set.

The only play food to buy!

I love these sets of New Sprouts Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner baskets. I couldn't wait to buy my daughter her very own kitchen since I loved mine so much when I was her age. I shopped around everywhere and read several Amazon reviews when it came to buying the right food to stock her fridge with. I finally settled on the Learning Resources New Sprouts sets. I'm so happy I did and the product exceeded my expectations. Why I Like It: -Very durable and constructed from a foam/rubber like material (has survived being stepped on and put in a toddler's mouth) - Adorably realistic and perfect for little hands (Food is not to scale, but that was something I was looking for after reading reviews on other foods too big for smaller pots and pans) -Created by a company that encourages creative development. (My best friend works at a school supply store and was very complimentary of the Learning Resources products.) -Teaches good food choices with more options like yogurt and veggies over chips and soda. -My child loves it! (She prefers these to her Melissa & Doug food set because its softer and more realistic) -Comes with shopping baskets that are great for pretend play and clean up! Dislikes: -The products are expensive compared with other plastic food alternatives. (for me the cost was worth it) Learning Resources New Sprouts Lunch Basket (18 Pieces)

So awesome

My daughter had all the Melissa and Doug wooden sets when she was younger and these food sets blew those out of the water! These are so realistic almost like a mix of plastic and rubber. Made to last. Worth the price for sure.

Good quality play food

This is my favorite play food. All of the pieces are durible and last. The process ce is higher than all other play food, but if you are looking for something that will look good and last, this is the right brand. This specific set is fun for making sandwiches and salads.

Lunch basket

Just ordered the lunch basket for my 22 month old daughter and recieved it today. I am impressed with the quality of the food, it's very real looking which is what I was looking for! Unfortunately i have to put the apple slices, pretzels, and cookie up until she is older because those pieces are so small she could choke on them. Otherwise very impressed!

Better than I expected!

I bought the breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, and dinnerware sets for my 17 month old for Christmas. I opened the lunch set early just to see the quality and was pleasantly surprised. Most of the pieces look great and some have a really cool soft feel that’s hard to describe. Some pieces like the apples are pretty small but my daughter isn’t interested in putting them in her mouth. A few things are questionably painted but these are for children and I doubt they’ll care. I absolutely LOVE them though, they look so great and feel like they are built to last.
