As far as toilet seats go, this one takes the cake!

Extremely easy to install. I have literally no tools and have trouble putting simple things together, and this was really easy. This seat looks amazing and is perfect for a cottage style home or any home that is decorated with a colonial feel. The wood feels sturdy and the paint is really nice. It's a really thick coat of paint and is very shiny and easy to keep clean. I love this seat and am so happy with the product. Only concern is that I wish the washers were made of something sturdier. Updated review: This set has held up well and no problems with the washers so far. It is really comfortable, does not stain easily, and looks so nice. If you buy it get ready to get compliments on your toilet seat. It's a kind of odd thing to hear but it's true, everyone loves this seat and asks me where it came from. The silver is still as shiny as when I purchased it and I literally have no complaints. The shipping was fast, it arrived in perfect condition, and I was elated to throw my old seat away! This would also look really cool in one of those tiny houses, a beach or river house, or a craftsman type home. You can always spray the fixtures if your bathroom fixtures are a different color as well. Easy, cheap update. This one doesn't come loose. The top cover doesn't come off.

I got so tired of a plastic seat with with plastic screws and a plastic hinge that allowed the hinge pins to swivel and the top cover to come off. I guess it is still true. You get what you pay for. This was more than I wanted to spend, but I guess I am behind the times, because it was one of the least expensive seats with a hinge that connected both sides. This seat stays put. I could just as easily give it 5 stars, but it is only a toilet seat. I still have to clean up after myself.

a few extra fasteners would have been nice. Probably going to have to just get another ...

The fasteners that screw the bolts under the toilet broke within 2 weeks because they are plastic, cannot find ones to fit because apparently it is not the common or universal size. so I have it rigged with metal nuts & rubber washers, seat slides & cant get it any tighter or the bowl is going to crack... a few extra fasteners would have been nice. Probably going to have to just get another seat because it slides when you move at all & the risk of falling off or pinching the skin is not worth it.. It is a very pretty seat & I like the style but useless if I cannot get the proper fitting replacement parts.

Good, but slightly different from picture (as of April 2018, anyway)

Looks good and appears to be decent quality. I write primarily to note that the one I received did not have a metal bar connecting the hinges, as shown in the product description. Also, the lid is marked "Jones Stephens" just FYSA (i.e., for your situational awareness). I've attached a couple pics of the one I received. Hope it helps.

Nicest seat ever! Beautiful chrome hardware. Such a nice treat to take it up a notch with an attractive seat. It would be splendid look in a cute getaway home- cottage or beach. A fresh look.

Nice Looking

Looks really nice, comfortable and easy to clean. Given the price of nearly $50 with taxes you would hope the manufacturer would use a better quality bumper on the bottom of the seat! Not happy about that at all as it takes but a moment to lose grip when putting the seat down to have it slam down and smash the plastic bumper. I purchased this seat 4 months ago (May 2021).
