Replacement for Howser Slippers

I purchased these for my beloved Howser Slippers. I wore the insoles out but nothing else in the slippers. These fit right into my women's size 8.5. I would categorize them as firm insoles, if you need a lot of cushioning, or have plantar fasciitis, these may be too stiff for you. I've added comparison photos to the new vs the old insoles. Would recommend these replacements for the Howser series.

Works great.

The insert had to be cut to size, as described. It is comfortable because it's one piece and flat. Nice and smooth under the feet. Very little arch is wonderful! Now I don't feel like I am walking on a rock.

Takes getting used to, great insoles

My old insoles were old, they had come from another pair, because I liked them so much. However, over time I noticed my feet hurting more after wearing my running shoes too long, so I decided to give these a try. First of all, they are customizable: you simply cut them to shape and fit for your size. Then, sliding them in the shoes was easy, and they fit perfect. The first few times I used them, I wasn't sure I would like them: the arch isn't as high as I might like, and the outer sides seem a bit higher raised than my previous insoles. Also, note that the heal is a bit thicker, which can push the foot forward in the shoe. After having worn these insoles for several times, they have formed to my feet and now walking feels like walking on air. Happy with them! And to top it all off, these insoles are mostly plant based. Got to love that!

Good for replacing insoles

I just bought a pair of walking shoes and wanted more cushion in the ball of the foot. I wear size 8 shoe, ordered a Medium Keen Insole and it easily cut to fit my shoe. The size guide on the bottom of the insole is easy to follow but shoes don't always fit that pattern, so I just line up the old insole with the heal of the new one and then cut to shape. The Keen insole isn't quite as thick in the fore foot area as I expected it to be, but I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of cushion it provides. Very comfortable shoes now thanks to the Keen insole.

Insole for feet

Keen is a trusted brand for footware that provides wonderful support to feet. If one is unable to afford their top quality shoes, insoles are an alternate way to provide foot support to the footware you already have. These insoles are made in bright yellow color and have lovely design. This particular style is geared towards women. I love the support I get from these insoles. Of course, they can be used only for so long before replacement is required.

They’re just ok

I got these to replace the old and frankly pretty funky insoles in my fave Keen tennis shoes. Size wise they were pretty close. I wear a 7.5 and got the medium figuring it would be easier to trim it down to fit than if it were too small if I ordered the smaller size. I just lined it up with my old insoles and marked it with a pen and cut it to size. It was super easy. They fit pretty snuggly inside my shoes with minimal fuss getting them situated. They were definitely thinner than the insoles that came in my shoes as you can see in the pics. I didn’t think this would be that problematic but as soon as I put the shoes on I could tell a difference. My shoes felt enormous on my feet with this much thinner insole. They are reasonably comfortable but since they did change how my shoe fit completely it caused the back of my shoe to rub against my heel. I haven’t walked extensively in them with this insole yet but I’m not super optimistic about it because of just how much looser the shoe is with them in. If they had been the same thickness as the original insoles then I think my review would be much more positive but as is they just change the fit of my shoes too much and I will have to put the original insoles back in. This may not be a concern with all shoes especially if the insole you are replacing is of a similar thickness.
