High Quality Carpenters/Roofers Square

Really nice heavy duty carpenters square at an unbelievable price! Great value for the money. Markings on the square are cut into the metal which will ensure they will remain readable and can't be worn or scrapped off. About the only improvement I would make would be to color in the markings (which I have began doing) but they are still easily readable without that being done. Would definitely buy again and probably will as presents for friends that could use a square larger than the usual 7" size.

Accurate, tough, and USA-made

This USA-made square is useful, accurate, and an excellent value. It’s accurate, as tested by my 6” machinist’s square, solid, and cheaper than a lot of plastic imports. Highly recommended.

Great for installing LVP

It was my first time installing LVP and this tool was indispencable. It's large enought to span an 8 inch plank but is not bulky or heavy. Glad I purchased it. Hightly recommend.

Better than plastic in almost all ways

I've had the bright orange plastic version of this for a few years and I wouldn't be without it on a project. The plastic, however, is far more brittle than I realized, and both of my smaller ones and the large orange one have broken in a few places, hence this purchase. It is sturdy and well layed out, but I must admit that I find it harder to read. I don't know if it's the color, the finish, or the depth and sharpness of the figures carved into it, but expecially in low light conditions, it's no joy to read. That said, it is sturdy, it is well layed out, and It will be seeing plenty of use.

Quality kit. Well worth the price.

As a budding woodworker, checking, getting and keeping things square is a constant task. This is the big-boy version, which lives on or near my work-bench. It's little seven-inch brother hangs out in my tool pouch or pokes out of my back jeans pocket. It's great to have both. This one is particularly handy for quick cross-cuts with the circular saw, as it's chunky enough to provide a mini fence for the saw to ride against. The scribing notches are far more useful than I'd imagined - running a dead-straight line down and eight-foot board, exactly three inches from the end, for example, is a doddle! And the protractor function is good for quick angle-checks, although I'd use something with better resolution to set up fine angled cuts. Not forgetting the primary 45-degree and 90-degree angles built into this thing, which as far as I can determine are absolutely spot on. You pay for quality and precision. I wasted some cash on a cheap imitation first, and ended up binning it. I've often regretted buying cheap tools. But I've never yet regretted investing in quality kit.
