Foam balls are great, but those white ones...

Bought this set to take out to the field near my house for practice. Opened the items, and I was sad to see that the white balls were actually more egg-shaped. Definitely some bottom line manufacturing. The foam balls were very nice, however. Took them out to the field and hit them all with my driver to see the distance. They went about 20-40 yards, which is expected and ideal. Gathered the balls and was disturbed to see that 7 of the 24 white balls were dented in. I pulled them out but they are permanently dented up making them even less spherically shaped. Avoid this product if you are looking for a set of practice balls you can really play with. If you are just doing some short, easy chipping, they'll get the job done. 1 Star - Handy bag 2 Star - Foam balls are great 3 Star - Finally can get in some practice outside the range/course 3/5 Stars - White balls had me concerned from the start, bad shape and easily dented.

Good Combination for Beginners

My husband I are new to golf (2 months now) and about two weeks new when we purchased these. We bought this pack because we did not know which type of practice ball we would like. The results...I like both, my husband likes the plastic because the air travels through them. I like the foam because I can see where it went. Both are good for practice in the yard or park. They both hold up ok. Eventually the plastic begins to dent but they have lasted with two people using them at least once a week. Shipping was a bit slow but quality is good.

not standard size!

the balls are well constructed, and I like the net that comes w/ the package. However, someone did not do their homework. The balls are not standard golf ball size. They are about 10-15% smaller than the official golf ball. I don't mind that these are not as dense (you expect that in a practice ball, otherwise, you may damage stuff if you hit it indoors). However, because the ball is smaller than a golf ball, the visual cue may be misleading.

Fine for what they are

I live in the city so wanted something I could practice with on my deck and these get the job done. I get lots of dents in the plastic white balls, but that's what happens when you are using this type of product.

The yellow foam balls will travel about 35 yard with average speed swing. The yellow foam balls will probably last until lost. The plastic balls will dent and break around the center when hit with anything other than some wedge.

Fun Foam Practice Balls

I bought these practice balls so my grandson could practice golf in his front yard without damaging any windows nearby. So far so good. He gets out and practices all the time!

They work with real clubs and don't break.

I have used similar products that break in half after one swing. These have lasted much longer. If you want to practice your drive in a 1/2 acre back yard, this is for you.
