Perfect light kit for my Hunter fan

Fit my 18 year old 52" Hunter fan & was easy to install

I did it! So proud of myself. First light I ever connected. I had an 18 year old Hunter 52" white fan with a corresponding 4 light kit attached. A little while ago the light blew. Switching out the bulbs didn't work. So I bought this light kit hoping that it would fit. I read the reviews and as described by several - had to go to the hardware store to buy 2 longer screws. My fan did not have the wire plug connectors (how nifty!) But Hunter includes two wires with these wire connectors attached so that you can twist them with your wires from the old fan & then connect the wire plugs with the new light. Don't love the cfl twist bulbs - they don't look as nice as the old fan light bulbs, but otherwise its great. I did not have any modification to do. I suspect that the new fans fit together closer (one fits inside the other) but on my old fan they did not, just butt up against each other. They are identical size, so with the longer screws - all worked fine. I can't believe I got out of this lack of light over my dining room table for just $45!! Thrilled!

Great Light kit for Hunter ceiling fans (even older fan models)

I purchased and installed our Hunter Ceiling fans when we built our house in 1999. The original, articulated light kits were never very bright and have not aged well. I replaced some with this new light kit. It fit perfectly; after replacing the 2 connecting bolts with new ones that were 1/2 inch longer. The light from this kit is much brighter and more even than the original.

Works great but you will probably need to run to the hardware store.

Pros: I was able to install it and it works! Our bedroom of our house has been dark since we moved in 2 years ago. I was surprised to learn that my Hunter fan in that room could have a light kit and the wiring was already done. So the product works and we have a lit bedroom now. Cons: First, I HATE, LOATHE pigtail CFL bulbs in exposed lights such as this (yes we did put shades on it). Second, the screws that came with light were not long enough to attach to the previous fixture. I had to go to Home Depot and get some that were 1 1/2" long.

Light Kit fits well except the screws provided with the kit are too short. I had to purchase new screws that were 1/2 inch longer in order to complete the install. Not a major issue, but a nuisance that Hunter Fan Company could fix easily. They provide all the wire nuts, extra wiring harness, etc. but they make the screws too short.

I ordered this to go onto a Hunter 26417 Architect Series ceiling fan. I first checked with Hunter to make sure this would fit on my fan--thank you, Hunter, for your excellent customer service. It fits and it's beautiful. I ordered the Hunter Fan Company 28893 2 1/4-Inch Accessory Glass, White Linen shades and I love the entire setup. It's so lovely that I ordered this fitter and the shades for another room.

Uses regular bulbs, connector snaps right into my Hunter fan light connector & screws screw right into my Hunter fan inserts. Highly Recommended!
