Works well, one minor gripe

Bought for my male Cocker Spaniel. He's not a puller, so it works well. It's just a little stiff. You could coil his old leash and it stayed. If you try and coil this one, it unrolls as soon as you let go of it. So I just hang on a hook now instead of coiled in a drawer.

I like the design, the leash is well made, my dog walks well with it. Cons: I wish it had a special section to attach poop bag dispensers, but otherwise it's a good leash for my 50 lb lab mix.

Sturdy and cute

Seems durable, but has sharp edges

Hamilton leashes are typically durable and well made. Sometimes the pattern on woven leashes doesn't last too long with wear and tear, but this one has the pattern stitched onto a ribbon-like material on one side, so it may fare better. It is catching and matches up with collars that have pink, lime and blues. The reason I am not giving it a 5* rating is that it is very sharp around the edges on each side, including the handle and actually cut into my finger a bit. With winter coming soon, it will be glove season, so I can still use it. I am glad that I didn't purchase the collar as I would have sent it back if it was not softened on the edges. I think it may be the ribbon material as it has never been an issue on the leashes I've purchased that are woven on both sides. It does look exactly as pictured and has a sturdy O-ring for attaching to the collar or harness.

Nice length for a leash

I would never get a leash any shorter than 6'. This one is ideal. When I need it shortened, I just double it up. It has been wearing well all summer, in water and being dragged over pavement, sand and gravel. Sturdy.

well made. Matches the collar as expected. Does what it's supposed to do and has a nice high-quality feel (I don't feel like it will break anytime soon and it seems strong). Hardware seems sturdy and solid. Would buy from this brand again.

The one inch wide leash is great for 50+ lb dogs. Nice length for trail walks where you have to keep dogs on a lead.
