Great little oven

This review is for the "Hamilton Beach 6-Slice Countertop Toaster Oven with Easy Reach Roll-Top Door". I purchased this oven in 2021 and forgot to review it. Better late than never - this little oven is so awesome it deserves some kudos. We use it almost every day, mostly for reheating leftovers. It is very easy to clean, although the cooking tray became horribly stained the first time we reheated some BBQ on it. Since then I use a thin layer of tinfoil (haha, I'm an old Texan) on top and have had no problems even though the instructions discourage using foil. The drip tray and rack clean up like a breeze. The thing we love most is that it takes up hardly any space on our countertop and has a modern yet retro look. The controls are old-school, not L.E.D. Just turn the knobs. We recently bought one for my husband's 95 yr-old mom. She loves to bake her individual frozen pizzas on it. We haven't tried baking anything in the oven, but it will hold a 9" pie pan. Great little oven!

Fantastic toaster oven

I love everything about this toaster oven. The door lifts up which is a space saver, it cooks quickly and evenly, and the dials are very easy to turn compared to another brand that I have used for years. I use this oven for cooking chicken. Meatloaf, baked potatoes and much more it's great for a two person household. Oh, and by the way, it's great for cooking a frozen pizza. The rack is curved and so is the inside of the oven. The pizza fits perfectly.

Great product

This is our second one. After using the initial one non stop. Likely my young teen who never stops eating and over use not using it with care thanks to Kids had to be replaced. for any and every reason due to its larger size capacity I didn’t think twice buying another. The door going bottom to top for cooking use is very good to keep chances lower to get hurt with other type of door. My only scratch my head every time is why didn’t the manufacturer make the tray to cook with the same size as shelf in product? That is why I gave it a 4. For not using all the available space for tray.

Very nice peoduct

The oven is compact, but adequate for our needs. The door slides up and out of the way. Very convenient and saves heating the wall oven.

Inside glass, the part's that NOT easy to reach

A few things to be aware of: 1. It does need preheating if you want to bake in it. It does take some time to come up to temperature. If you want to bake something for 25 minutes, at least half (or more) of the 25 minutes you set on the timer will be taken up by coming up to temperature. There is a "turn on and stay on" option. Use that until your own oven thermometer reads high enough, then place food and set the timer. Be aware the timer only goes up to 30 minutes. 2. Cleaning the inside of the glass reminds me of trying to reach the bottom of the back car window. You have to reach in under-handed and struggle a bit to reach everything. 3. The best feature, and it's a good one, is the ability to use many ordinary-size pans in it. Other than that, it's your basic toaster oven.

Door opens up and over which I like.

Purchased for my 80 year old father in law. He had used one for years but I don't think he ever cleaned it. Purchased him this one and we both like that the door opens up and over. This way when you take something out of the oven, you can place it on the counter. No chance of burning your hand when removing a hot dish. He is old fashioned and prefers the knobs so I stayed away from digital.

Great little oven, not so great toaster

I purchased this to replace a Hamilton Beach 31512C that was fine, but suddenly stopped heating after 15 months. I bought an open box for around CDN 68. Arrived new without a scratch in a random box, with nothing missing, so it was a good deal. My main use is as a countertop oven, and it works well for that, and heats better than the 31512C even without convection, but I'm not sure I'd be happy if I mostly used it for toast, which takes longer than indicated on the timer. Can't store unused trays on top of the oven because the door swings up and over, however it's easy on counter space for that reason, so evens out. Main concern is the recommendation to unplug it after each use, which isn't practical for me, as it's plugged in behind the fridge. #YOLO

Great design oven

Purchased the same overn from Bed Bath and Beyond 5 years ago, recently over so we purchase this from Amazon. It is a great oven with all functions needed. Love the top slide door. We use it 3-4x a week!

Quiet and convenient with the roll up door.

Being a non-convection over I love that this is makes no noise. I dumped my previous convection over because the fan was so noisy it drove me crazy. This does all that I require.
