Easily adjustable and gentle!

I have a 60lb standard poodle and this helps so much in public until she's fully trained. It keeps her from pulling on me too much and gives me more control. Highly recommend it if you have a dog that likes pull.

Works well and she doesn’t seem to mind it, but….

I’ve used these before and they work pretty well for a dog that pulls. Makes them go from crazy puller dragging you down the street, to a dog who general doesn’t pull but can still drag you if she sees a squirrel. I only have 2 problems with it, one of which probably can’t be fixed. I had to buy 3 of these bc I accidentally left it on her one day and she Chewed it off. Then, fool me twice, I left the second one on and….she chewed it again. So the third on I take off her right away!! But it’s the normal sturdy nylon that all leashes are made of, so I can’t fault that. She’s a crazy puppy. Second issue is that I wish the clasps weren’t the kind that have to slide the pin up and down Because we live near the beach and once Those clasps get wet or get salt water in them, they get really stuck. I have a leash that has the simpler clasp that just has a hinge and pushes in (much like a carabiner) and that stands up to anything. So I wish they would replace the clasp that hooks to her collar with something more weather resistant. All in all, a great product that I always recommend to people with dogs that pull.

Great harness

My puppy is very energetic and was really pulling us hard on walks. Using this harness helped cut that down a lot. The straps can loosen a bit, but I think that I'll just put a few stiches in to keep it snug on him, once I'm sure he won't get much bigger.

I can now take my dog on walks with confidence

This system has made a huge difference in controlling my dog's behavior while out walking. If your dog is apt to chew on things, remove it immediately after you take them for a walk or they may remove it themselves by chewing it off! Otherwise it's great!

came assembled wrong

I had bought one before. Bought this one and the front ring is on the inside of the strap. Unusable it twists and is ineffective no way to correct it without cutting strap and putting it back together and resewing which would compromise the reliability

Longevity

This was my 3rd attempt at a harness for my 5 y.o. rescue pit who was atrocious on a leash. Game changer! The ability to change up the leash as he learned as well as to go hands free as his confidence (and mine) grew made him his BEST version of himself without treating him into obesity. We walk 5 miles a day HAPPILY and our Halti is THREE YEARS OLD and working like the day I bought it. I'm buying a replacement because mine is filthy lol and one for my DIL's rescue pup. Great training tool if used consistently and patiently!

Good Product But . . .

I've had a really difficult time trying various leashes, leads, and harnesses in an attempt to get my dog to stop pulling and choking himself during his daily walks. This particular system seemed ideal, so I was excited to try it. The most important thing that I can relay in this review is to really pay close attention to the sizing - my dog, depending on the product, can fit a size small or medium. The medium size of this particular harness/lead combo, however, is way too big for him, and this is not something that can be adjusted a lot. In terms of the efficacy of the product, it does work to keep a dog from pulling and hurting his or her throat. I was able to get my dog into the straps, which usually isn't easy since he's both hyper and really resistant when it comes to putting anything on him. This does require two hands to be able to adequately control the dog (at least for me), though, which is not ideal. Ultimately, however, the biggest problem is that while I can get this on him, it's nowhere near tight enough that I'd feel comfortable taking him outside with it on for fear that he'd escape. So the concept is good and it wasn't overly difficult to get my dog into the straps, but having to use both hands to control him isn't what I was looking for, and again, the sizing is a huge issue that prospective buyers should probably keep in mind.
