A light for an old fashioned ceramic tree

Cool replacement for an incandescent bulb in a reading lamp

We have a floor-standing reading lamp that came with a frosted incandescent 60 watt T10 bulb. When it burned out after a few years of use, I went looking for a replacement. The incandescent bulbs mostly seem to come in multi-packs, which we don't need as this is the only T10 bulb in use in our house. Single incandescents are at an absurd price premium. I noticed many LED equivalents, most of which are in clear housings that look a bit odd from the photos online. This product is the only frosted equivalent. While, as seems to be the case with most of LED replacement bulbs, the advertised equivalency seems wrong--this bulb is noticeably not as bright as the bulb it replaced. While there is no way that we will ever recover the LED price premium in energy savings, the value added is that this bulb runs cool. The 60 watt incandescent would make the metal housing of the reading lamp noticeably hot to the point of a burn risk. No issues with this bulb. Not sure the LED premium would be worth it for those without this unique challenge . . . but the bulb produces even dispersal of light and works fine with the dimmer switch built into the reading lamp.

beautiful light for LED

I have artwork and reading lamps that require tube bulbs, but incandescents became hard to find so I tried this LED. I was suspicious of LED because I can't stand harsh blue-white light. This bulb is perfect. I like that it's dimmable and feel good about the energy use. Convenient to order on line.

Great LED replacement- use less energy and much cooler.

This bulb is much better than the 40watt tubular bulb it replaced. I had used 2x 40 watt bulb on a classic desk lamp which generated a lot of heat. These 4.5 watt LED's are so much better. They are a little brighter than the originals and infinitely cooler and use much less energy. Frosted LED tubular are hard to find in any big box or hardware store or even on line. These are supposed to last 15000 hrs. Just got them so I can't speak to life span. Frosted have less shadow than clear bulbs , therefore better for desk reading lamp. Very happy with these LED bulbs.

Great Piano Light

I use an old piano light for my desk. This light is a definite improvement over the old style of lamps. Will definitely buy again.

Works great so far

I like that I can use a higher equivalent wattage in my lamp only rated to a 40 W incandescent bulb. With this bulb, it's equivalent to 60 W so now I get a brighter light which I wanted. Also like that it should last mostly forever!

Nice kelvin temp for reading

The other tube bulb I bought from Amazon, advertised not to flicker, was very prone to flicker. Canned it. This one is more stable. Bright. Nice kelvin temp for reading. I like it. Sometimes wish it could deliver a few more lumens.

Great replacement as long as it's the same color

First purchase of two of these lights, which we returned, the lights were a different color. Identical bulbs and information on the bulbs, just different color. Second purchase, the lights were identical and perfect.

Great LED Alternative

A great alternative to the traditional incandescent bulb and puts out very little heat. You can still touch the lamp after it's been on for a long time. I bought 2--one for my music light and another for my desk lamp.

Fine, good quality

First of all: Doesn't hum/buzz audibly on an LED-compatible Lutron in-line fader that I use it with. Thats a win. I use it inside a 3D-printer produced model of Earth's moon, so: even, 360-degree spherical dispersion of light, and little-to-no thermal issues were the goals. This product delivers perfectly on both.
