Lack of mounting template make it 10 times harder

Lack of template make this 10 times harder than it should be because you have to put it together completely, hold it to where you want it then mark where the mounts go (2 people)......then you need to make a template of the mount and mark those holes....then you need to make sure the holes are level (up,down,left,right)...then cross your fingers and hope it mounts properly and looks right. I have the skill and tools, but I would say that you need to know what yo are doing or hire someone to mount it. Good looking mirror and I would give it 5 stars if they actually provided a template to mount it. Its simple for the manufacturer to do and they should do it. To make the install easy...put it completely together and hold it where you want to mount it...have someone mark on the wall (trace around the mounts. After that, set the mirror and mounts on a piece of cardboard to make a template that you can hold against the wall and use a level to make it straight/level. You also need to mark the mounting holes on the cardboard and transfer those holes on the wall (I did this by pushing a properly sized screwdriver thought the marks on the cardboard into the drywall) That's the hard part....if you can do that, you will be fine.

Gatco 4339S Tiara Recatangular wall Mirror

The packaging is very good. It withstood all shipping shaking and turning and arrived at my home in one piece. The packaging contains a exact size template to cover the mirror. This could be used for installation time to mark install points. The mounting hardware and screws are very small and take care to not to loose them. The installer took lot of time in installing the mirror suggest it is some what tricky to get the mirror aligned correctly. Overall the product is good for the price. I am satisfied with the mirror. However if I had looked at the local stores like Bed Bath and beyond or Homegoods before purchasing the mirror, I would have purchased a different beautiful mirror at lesser than the price I paid for this mirror.

Beautiful mirrors, secure mounts

Installation is easy (just measure carefully!) and feels very secure. There have been some reviewers who are concerned that the screws may come out of the wall with the weight of the mirror... I suspect they are not using the bolts properly. No surprise here - the instructions are too brief, and they don't describe this critical bit: the bolts are NOT typical drywall screws with plastic inserts. Those expand as the screw is inserted. Rather, this mirror ships with molly bolts, which have a piece which expands on the back side of the drywall (inside the wall). For this piece to expand, the bolts must be inserted fully and THEN turned many, many rotations (50? 100?) to compress and cinch the anchor. When this is done, they're very tight and quite secure. The mirrors also look very nice, and the tilt feature is perfect for our young kids. Very happy with this purchase.

Horrible to install

Be careful. The hardware comes in two pieces for each side. One side was not properly attached to the support and slipped out causing the mirror to fall and crack. The hardware itself is attractive and feels substantial but you need to be sure that the two pieces are securely fitted together before you attempt to hang the mirror. It is also difficult to turn the screws with the allen hex wrench provided when you attach the mirror to the wall. No schematic is provided. I will need to replace the mirror and will buy one from Pottery Barn instead even though it costs more.

Its a mirror....but I would choose another

Nice mirror. Not a fan on the hardware as it has knurled detail. Installation is almost impossible with one person. My biggest gripe is that it is offset so far from the wall that as a vanity mirror it's not efficient since so much light is lost behind the mirror. I will be buying flush mount hardware and just leaving it at that.

OK, but could be easily improved.

Nice looking, but the manner of attachment of the side escutcheons to the mirror is not ideal. It is simple friction on metal plates which are apparently glued onto mirror surface. I have another mirror from a different manufacturer, Moen, which has a better attachment system with a hole in the mirror to allow a stud to provide better and more accurate support. Packaging of this item is also not ideal. One mirror was actually shattered into little pieces in the styrofoam box

Exactly what I wanted...but beware...not easy to install!

This mirror had the minimalist look I wanted for our bathroom. But getting the anchors located exactly right on the wall prior to install is not easy. Also, installing into a corner (as I did) complicates things significantly. Keep these things in mind as you decide where to hang this mirror.

Beautiful but difficult to install

This is a very pretty mirror. Installation is awful. Took three of us. Setscrew is so small. Takes one person to hold mirror, one to tighten setsrew and a 3rd to hand over hardware. Tightening setscrew takes a while making it hard to hold mirror over vanity.
