Not a plunge router bit!

I will admit that there is no claim that this bit can be used in a plunge router, but it sure looks like it can in the picture. The problem is that the cutters do not go over the top of the bit, so that a small piece of wood does not get cut. If you try to use it anyway you get ter out in hard woods and it actually works in soft wood. Good thing Amazon is my favorite place to shop as they accepted the return with no problem.

It's Freud

So far so good. It's the profile I wanted and appears to be typical Freud quality. I haven't run much board feet through it, just quickly tested it and it gives clean cuts. I will update when after I put it through more wood.

Appears to be built solid. I did not pay attention to it having a 3/8" shank. Have not used it yet because of having to buy a 3/8" collet for the shank.

Sharp cutting edge and good price

Good bit at a decent price.

Worked well for what I needed it for which was to duplicate a piece of furniture will multiple false front drawers.

Worked good.

Used this bit to make cabinet doors out of MDF for my kitchen. The bits held up and appeared to keep its edge throughout the whole process. I did order two because of having to do 40 doors + drawer fronts, I did use both because I did not want to get a dull cut. Good product, I would recommend.

Like how it cut a very clean profile, with no chatter Because it is a 3/8” shaft which is uncommon in Canada and most routers only come with 1/4” and 1/2” collets, it would be great if it was suggested that a 3/8”collet be purchased at the same time. Other than that I love the quality of the Frued product.
