Awkward thumb

Ok mittens for the price, not as warm as my Smartwool mittens. but the thumb of the mittens is really awkward. These are going back.

I'd buy them again.

I LOVE these mittens. First let me say I ordered these and the "Double Ragg Mitten" from Fox River and I really like them both. This is a much thinner version -- the Double Ragg has two layers (and so is that much warmer). But this little mitten really does it's job. We are currently in the middle of a cold snap. The low this morning was -3 and I wore these little mitts to drive to the health club. First, you need to understand that my hands get VERY COLD. I am wearing mittens whenever the temperature is below 50 degrees. I can feel the cold through many mittens from the steering wheel, but I found these to be very comfortable and kept the cold at bay -- for the most part. My hands got cool, but certainly not uncomfortably cold. I love that they are light weight and thin, but warm. WARNING... I would NOT recommend these for windy days outside. Because they are thin (and I think because they are a natural fiber) they are NOT very good at blocking wind. But for keeping hands warm, I think they're great. I find them very comfortable. Sizing - I ordered the small and I find them just a little long on my hand, but I'm fine with it because they keep my hand warm. They do not seem tight around my palm either -- very comfy fit there.

Everybody needs a pair of these....

Won't be using them till next winter, but I've got Fox River socks that are great. I expect these to be equally great. Check back in in six or seven months, but I'm sure my attitude won't change. Not a bad idea to stock up for next winter will on summer-clear-the-stock pricing....

Like them but...

...very slippery grip and not very warm. I wear them over regular gloves, indoors when it's cold to hold hand warmers in place between these and regular gloves.

Yes, the thumb's a bit long....but better than too short! An excellent mix of wool and nylon so you can machine wash them. Warmth vs. washability has been an issue for me during the pandemic, and these mitts are a good solution. I use them as liners with leather covers on colder days, and without, in warmer weather. Wish I could get more, at the $20 price I paid for the first two pairs....

Possibly the worst mittens I've ever bought

Looks nothing like the product they pictured. Look at the product picture I included and look at your hand. Is your thumb so long that it almost touches your index finger? If not, these probably don't fit you. Compared to what's in the photo, the thumb not only starts way higher than it should, but is also so long that it's almost the length of the index finger. In Amazon's photo, they also make the wrist area look snug and have some elasticity, in reality, it's perfectly straight and doesn't hug your wrist one bit. I can understand some discrepancies in construction but this straight up looks like it was made by someone who's never seen what a human hand looks like but has heard a very vague description of what a hand is.

A complete swindle

Anything below 0 degrees Celsius will render these mittens useless. You feel all the wind through your fingers, so you WILL get frostbite with these on. Even biking at 0 degrees is impossible. I really got swindled because they look like the ones I had before, minus the windproof insulation and the thick inner layer that keeps your hand warms. They do look good, but who cares about looks when you're losing fingers!

These are quite thin and fit my hand with no extra. For what I wanted, they’re perfect. In fact, I usually take a medium but followed the guide that said I needed a small. I want them to be a liner in a leather over mitt. I’m having a hard time finding one that doesn’t have a “glove liner”. If I wanted gloves I would order gloves. Anyway, I did find some leather mitts so I believe these mitts will be perfect!
